So celery juice is like the biggest fad in the healthy community right now, have you noticed? I've heard all kinds of supposed benefits to drinking it and some of my favorite people to follow are drinking it religiously. It's said to help with acne, digestion, energy levels, etc, etc.........
Here's the part where it would logically follow that I tried it and am going to share my results with you. Well, don't hold your breath my friend. To be completely honest, there was a time in my life not that long ago that I'd have been all over jumping on this bandwagon. You know, because everyone else was doing it and because it's the new "magical" thing to be "healthy".
I'm so happy to say that today that's not the case. I've come a very VERY long way in my journey as a person over the last few years. Where I used to be the person who would have been embarrassed not to be joining in, I'm now plenty secure enough as a free thinking human to say that I will not be trying this particular fad. Why?
Because I simply don't like celery all that much and the thought of drinking a liquid form of it makes me want to puke. Also, come on, am I the only one who's willing to call the BS on all these influencers and say that there's no way most of them actually likes the taste of this pungent green veggie liquid?I don't care if drinking celery juice would make me sprout wings and give my super powers or make me look like a super model. Imma do me babes and that stuff is not going in my face. That's not even to say that I don't think it has true benefits because it probably does, I just think it's not the holy grail of health foods and wonder how much of it's "magic" is placebo effect. You picking up what I'm laying down?
So what does this have to do with anything? IDK, I was just feeling inspired today to let you know that it's 100% okay to be a unique person that does what is right for YOU! Don't ever let anyone pressure you to be or do anything that doesn't align with your needs, desires, or values. There's only ever going to be one YOU so why would you want to be trying to be like someone else?
Anyway, all that was to say that when it comes to my veggies, which I genuinely love, I prefer to eat them in their whole form is things like this delish stir-fry. Occasionally I'll go for a super green smoothie or something but other than that I like them chew-able and seasoned with lots of goodness.
