... restaurants in Japan is a hot water spender right at your place. Just push your cup against the knob and you'll get water at the right temperature for brewing and drinking your tea in no time. I've never seen anything similar in Germany. Maybe it's not quite rocket science but it's something that definitely added value to my Japan experience.
