Auch dieses ist ein relativ (!) einfaches Schmuckstück aus meiner Hand, weil es aus nur zwei Schichten Glas aufgebaut ist. Dafür stellte der Einschliff höhere Ansprüche: er ist von beiden Seiten zu sehen und da ich die Form auf jeder Seite auf den Betrachter zu gewölbt zeigen wollte, mußte ich Einschliffe gleicher Form und Größe in beiden Scheiben einbringen. Um es noch ein wenig schwieriger zu machen, ist der Schliff nicht mit einem einzelnen Schleifrad hergestellt, sondern besteht aus einer Komposition in zwei Schritten, die mit Rädern mit unterschiedlichen Durchmessern und Oberflächenwinkeln ausgeführt ist. Abschließend wurde der Einschliff mit 24-karätigem Blattgold ausgelegt.
Der Außenschliff stellte auch seine Anforderungen, wegen dem schrägen Schliff entlang einer Kurve, aber damit habe ich weniger Probleme.
Another relatively (!) simple piece of jewellery from my hand, for being made of only two layers of glass. In exchange, the inside cut was more challenging: it can be seen from both sides and as I wanted the shape to show up convex on either side, I had to make cuts of the same size and shape into both of the glass layers. To make it still a little more difficult, the cut is not done with one single wheel, but is a composition of two steps done with wheels of different diameter and surface angle. The cut was finally covered with 24 ct. gold leaf.
The exterior shape also has its little devil in the bezel along a curve, but this is not that difficult for me.
Otra pieza de joyería relativamente (!) sencilla de mi mano, por estar hecha de solo dos capass de vidrio. A cambio, la talladura interior era mas exigente: puede verse de ambos lados y como quería que se viese de forma convexa en cada cara, tuve que conseguir hacerla de igual forma y tamaño en los dos vidrios. Para complicarlo aún mas, la talladura no está hecha con una sola muela, sino que es una composición en dos pasos efectuados con muelas de diametros y ángulos de superficie diferentes. La talladura fue finalmente cubierta con pan de oro de 24 quilates.
La talladura exterior también tiene su intríngulis por el bisel en curva, pero eso me resulta menos complicado.
