'A Way Out'

What do all these magazines tell us? Why is there so many of them? Why do people go for the glitter pointed out to them and live according to someone else's ideas? How come we allowed the idea of consumerism consumes us to this extent? I started with many questions. However, it would take more than a few hours to start answering them. But, as they say, a photograph is worth a thousand words.

This photograph is about the door, the magazines are just the front. Where does one find an exit and saves oneself from the empty promises of colourful fantasies they want you to accept as 'normal' life. The door is hidden on the left side of the image. The question is what lies behind it and where does it lead. Also, is this the right door? Maybe some of us want to enter and venture deeper, instead of running away. A little food for your thought.

The overall colourful display is partially denied and made somewhat distant with the rich use of thick black. This is done on purpose to emphasise the dark side of colourful distractions that jump out of each front cover.

I wonder who still reads these with everything available on the net. Is it the same thing in a different wrap? That only proves, we all have a choice to say no. Or, yes, for that matter... :D
