This is my entry to the #BeachWednesday hosted by and supported by
Bahía de Juangriego
Located northwest of the Isla de Margarita, the Bay of Juangriego emerges with its imposing beach guarded by the Fort of La Galera and its incredible sunsets of reddish to golden hues considered one of the most beautiful twilights of Venezuela. In addition, the Bay is an ideal place for fishing and tourism since there are many restaurants located just meters from the beach where you can see the beautiful sunsets.
Following to the end of our beautiful Bay, we arrive at one of the most emblematic and historical sites of the Island of Margarita and Venezuela: The Fort of La Galera.
This Fort was the scene of one of the most cruel and bloody battles of the Independence era in Venezuela, where the patriots of the island of Margarita fought strongly against the royalist troops of Spain. Currently, it is used as a place to share and rest, where in its viewpoint, you can observe the spectacular sunsets and the entire Bay of Juangriego.
