Hello Steemians !
It’s almost the end of the summer but it’s not too late to enjoy a super refreshing fruity beer. I talk about the Hoegaarden Radler but you probably already know that since you read the title. It’s a very soft beer kinda like the Maes Radler, it was one of my first beer review, just click on the name to give a look.
Here we go for this one !
Description
This is a blond beer with 2%, it’s brewed by the Hoegaarden group since 2015. It’s not the first Hoegaarden I reviewed, I made a post about the Rosée some times ago and you can check it out here.
The funny thing about this brewery is that since its creation near 1445, it’s been a long time and legend started to appear. So I’m going to tell you one of them, the legend of the glass shape. It says that it came from jelly jar, one day in the village, they ran out of glasses to serve the beer so they used jelly jars. Actually, they loved drinking beer from those jars, maybe because of the jelly remains. After that, they decided to keep those glass.
Tasting
Time to taste ! The first thing to say about this beer is that it’s very refreshing, very pleasant to drink in the summer. The odor is very fruity and the beer is pretty sweet. It tasted like lemon, isn’t bitter at all or sour. It really tasted like the Maes Radler but smoother I would say. It’s also quite sparkling but without any after taste.
Rating
I rate this beer 19/20, it’s a perfect beer for its kind. I also prefer this one than the Maes one, it isn’t that different but still, it’s a little better. I really encourage you to try it if you never had the chance to.
