From the fermentors in Middlebury, VT comes splendor in a bottle labeled Backseat Berner.
I poured this brew into a glass sitting in the freezer for a few days.
The first sip yielded a very sweet hoppy flavor with little to no bitterness. I will ammend that last statement and say the bitterness and carbonation where aburpt and gave way to a very long and satisfying sweet hops flavor.
Just smelling the brew was pleasing. There was a satisfying level of hops. I would place this next to my fav Peak's Organic any day.
The third sip had an aggresive hops flavor. The aftertaste is revealing orange peel, raw honey, and even a hint of a sweet citrus syrup.
Again, the hops scent is strong enough to fill your nostrils. If you sip and smell, you get a very generous portion of hops.
The last sip had a pleasant bitter that has me wanting a 6-pack.
