35th Anniversary Expedition Stout Reserve is a robust stout with bold roasted flavors balanced by dark chocolate and boozy bourbon. It’s the prefect treat on a cold snowy winter day. This is a special release by Bells brewery so it’s tough to get your hands on.
The beer pours think and dark like a proper stout. It’s got minimal head and carbonation which accounts for the thickness. That translates to a beer that coats the mouth in rich flavor.
I’ve cut back on my beer in take so when I do drink I’m trying to find special releases or rarer beer. It’s a treat to get me through quarantine.
One of my favorite parts about the beer is the aroma. It’s got tons of roasted and chocolate notes that are wickedly complex. I took my time with this and enjoyed every sip. I’m trying to enjoy the small moments and this made for a fun and relaxing evening.
