In this 463rd edition, we dive into another neat regional variety pack of craft beers showcasing their brewers.
This Pint of the Week marks the end of an era here. One of the places I have enjoyed pints at too many times is changing ownership and names so I stopped in for one finalFour Father's Starter IPA. I do know the new owners and will hopefully back for another someday but goodbyes are another reason for a pint.
Hop Stars!
Longtime followers might know I am a sucker for a variety/gift pack of assorted beers...especially when they are all IPAs. I stumbled this interesting looking [Hopstars Mixtape Vol. 1]](https://lakeofbaysbrewing.ca/collections/beer/products/hop-stars-mixed-6-pack) and didn't hesitate to pick it up.
I am a fan of a collab where different breweries combine for a new beer. This is one step further with even the brewers themselves featured on the box. Sam Corbiel Sawdust City, Andrew Walsh Lake of Bays, and Aaron Spinney Merit all got the memo and sprouted mustaches to perpetuate the hipster craft beer aura!
Neat to see each of the brewers feature 2 different styles of beer with some sort of IPa and another. West Coast/Hazy Light/Hazy IPAs with a little variety in the Helles Lager, Vienna Lager and French style table beer. Neat!
Young Rival
From this collection, there was not a bad beer. I am not sure I have had too many beers from Merit Brewing so this is the one I chose to share while watching the hockey game.
Apparently, Young Rival Hazy IPA is their flagship IPA blen ding Mosaic and El Dorado hops for that tropical citrussy haze that I have come to love so much.
All in all, the lagers were nice, IPAs were bold and delicious so I git this mix pack my coveted seal of approval.
The Beer Wall
I have meant to pull down the empty wall for weeks but have built more instead. End to end unique craft beers from this region and beyond about to be converted into approximately $13 at the empty store. A year of discovery gone with the wind but immortalized on the blockchain to become lore of the ages for eternity.
