We know that God is talking for the best of us, he knows everything for our welfare.
From my point of view, God wants us to eat fruit-bearing tree and herbs. Especially if it is in season. If fruits are grown on their specific time, God knows that man needs it.
Examples are lemon or kalamsi fruits, those fruits are blooming in the season when the cold weather is up.
Kalamasi or lemon produce pure Vitamin C that the man needs to fight decease due to cold weather like cough and colds. Within this time citrus fruits are abundant everywhere.
As we see, fruits in season are giving their best to serve the mankind.
If we study the anatomical body type, Man is not herbivore, carnivore or omnivore.
Science says that man is Frugivore.
Frugivore can be specified as a creature with hands and finger that can be used in peeling, tearing and picking.
Their diets include mainly fruits, vegetables, some herbs nuts and seeds nuts. Their alkaline digestive starts with salivary glands, with toes and can sit upright. The body is covered with pores and hair and with sweat gland, they have strong teeth that can chew foods and their liver excretes alkaline urine. A man definitely includes in Frujivore body type.
It was written in the bible that God commanded Adam and Eve to eat all fruits and herbs.
Meaning from the very start of mankind, God knows what is the best for us to eat.
It was written in Gen.1:29
“And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you, it shall be for meat.”
From the trees. Not from a vine or any other types.
I don’t say that fruits came not from trees are not good. This is just to reiterate that fruits from trees are much better than others especially if God gives it in season, he gives what is needed.
So let’s try to be a frugivore. Eat fruits more often!
