Hello Steemians friends, this time I bring you a recipe something out of the ordinary, it is beef viscera, or as it is known in my city "asadura", it is a simple challenge, with some nutritional benefits that we can take advantage of if we consume it in adequate amounts.
The viscera of cow are conformed by: lungs, kidney, heart and liver. They always sell it that way mixed.
Benefits
- It is a food high in fat-soluble vitamins (mainly vitamin A), and water-soluble such as B12 (very important since it is only found in foods of animal origin).
- High iron content, is one of the foods that contains the most iron, a mineral of great importance in the metabolism of hemoglobin, it also has other minerals useful for the organism as copper.
- It has a good content of proteins and fats.
It is also high in nitrites, so in recent studies it was determined that it is an oncogenic compound.
Recipe
Maximum I recommend eating it 2 times per month.
Ingredients
- Asadura half kilo
- Onion a large
- Garlic to taste
- One large paprika
- Cilantro to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Oil 2 tablespoons
- Salt to taste
Preparation
The first thing we have to do is boil the steak for 8 minutes to make it easier to cut it, on the other hand we can cut and soften all the vegetables with the oil. After boiling the steak, cut into small squares and add it to the vegetables with a little water, add the salt and pepper and let it cook for about 10 minutes.
Some people use some ingredients that give you sweetness, like raisins or ripe bananas.
Serve: it can be accompanied with rice, arepa or in fact empanadas can be filled.
