Birds are singing and the sun is shining. What a lovely morning it is.
I have my tea ready and I am currently walking around with a heavy backpack on my back in Black Desert Online. It is to increase my character's strenght, so the weight limit she can carry increases. It's taking a long time to increase it though and the extra amount of weight limit you get from it is quite low. No matter! Her slow, slow journey is giving me plenty of time to do some steeming!
So I talked about my cooking experiments yesterday. They were sitting in the fridge while I wrote that article and I was waiting to see how they would turn out.
First of all, the candy! They did not become hard enough to pop out of the mold, so I put them in the freezer. I was able to pop them out after that, but I was afraid they would just turn all runny again once out of the freezer too long. I was right. I tested with one and it simply turned into a sticky blob. So that's one recipe I still need to work on! I think the temperature has to be hotter and I need to let it sit on the fire for a lot longer.
Lessons learned!
Atleast they seem to be nice for an aching throat, so there's that. I hope I can perfect them later on.
Second was the experiment I did with milk powder. I stumbled upon this Burfi recipe yesterday. I had no clue what Burfi was, but it used milk powder and I had a lot of that left to experiment with. So... why not try this! I did not have butter or saffron and I did not want to open up a big pack of milk for the small amount I needed (I used smaller amounts of everything). So I switched some ingredients around and went to work. The cooking itself became a little bit stressful, but I think the result was pretty good! It's a great taste and very nice for a first try. I should definitely make this more often and try other variations next time. I read somewhere about adding cocoa powder... yum! My boyfriend didn't like it anyway, so I might aswell make it chocolately!
I also told you yesterday that I would show you cookies! I did not manage that. I wrote the article, but I published a few other posts and I don't want to spam too many posts on one day. So it'll probably be today or tomorrow instead. A new Marvelous Tales contest will also be up today!
Oh, and I wrote about the comment spam and bots yesterday and how I'm finally done with trying to be nice and educate. I'm flagging them from now on and I hope many people will do the same. It seems to be the only way to get rid of these spammers, or at the very least hide their comments due to low reputation.
And lastly, when I checked Steemit this morning, I noticed had published his Humans of Steemit article with my story. Go check it out if you want to read some more about me!
