It's so amusing to me that the older generations blame millennials for things like businesses failing. It's the business's job to cater to its customers. Don't shift the blame to a demographic as if it's the demographic's responsibility to overpay and spend an hour of their time waiting for food that's really prepared pretty similarly to fast food. Pretty lame.
It's increasingly important to have some assurance that food is being handled well and that ingredients are fresh which is why it is so common in the new style of restaurants to have clear glass showing food being handled and prepped directly in front of the customer. Think Mod Pizza, Chipotle, Panera, Jimmy Johns. As cost of living continues to rise it's also more and more important that $6-10/ person be a consistent price point Applebees and Buffalo Wild Wings can't seem to get close enough to. You know if you go to those places and order conservatively for 2 that your bill, especially after tip, will be around $30.
And lets not even get started on Waiting...
