Will you join us for lunch at The Garden Grill Restaurant in Walt Disney World Resort because we had a lovely day there and you might enjoy seeing it here? To begin, we rode The Seas with Nemo & Friends after arriving at Epcot Theme Park in Walt Disney World Resort as seen at https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/destinations/epcot/.
After entering, I stopped for a photo in front of the restaurant wearing the shirt from our phoenix graphic design contest.
What makes The Garden Grill fun is that it slowly rotates the entire time! Above we can see the initial view from the table.
and my daughter Madeleine was so happy to see farmer Mickey!
Our second and third view from the table.
Our family including , our daughter Madeleine, and Laura's parents!
Madeleine spots another character coming!
I am not sure whether this is Chip or Dale?
We begin with a delicious vegan friendly salad! I ate an entire bowl ... like the whole bowl for the table.
Maybe this is Dale? Or is is Chip?
Dinner rolls! Even though I mostly eat whole plant foods and eat 99% vegan, I took a couple bites of the dinner roll.
Enter Pluto!
By this point our table has rotated to the front of the restaurant! I could not be bothered to take an extra five minutes to find the perfect lighting.
With starting my day fasting until around noon as usual and arriving for lunch at 12:45 pm, I had not eaten since about 8 pm the night before and was very grateful The Garden Grill had a vegan meal for me and a vegetarian meal for Madeleine which was tasty!
As we ate, our table view changed to this.
Laura encouraged me to hop in one of the photos!
While I was raised to "clean my plate" now I intend to eat until I am full and if there is food left, I consider that for next time in calculating my portion. Yes I did eat almost as much as the rest of the family combined ...
Laura, Madeleine, and me with Pluto!
We were lucky enough to get a table on the outside! I guess this should have been at the beginning but I took the photo at the end so here it is.
I took one bite of dessert which was tasty! After two years of eating a whole plant based diet with 50% fruits and vegetables with the other 50% being grains, nuts, and beans, I find that the biggest difference is having one bite versus none. One bite of dessert and I maintain my diet. None and I resent my diet enough to eventually throw it all out and binge at some point. One bite is enough to taste and enough to not want more on something where the primary function of eating it is not nutrition.
Thank you very much for joining us for our trip to Disney this weekend! I am very grateful to the Steem blockchain for inspiring me to make travel and food posts alongside everything else I do because I find relating to others through what we have in common easier. On Steem we all benefit by sharing our adventures here because each post like this has the opportunity to bring readers from Google and social media to our blockchain indefinitely through organic search and sharing. I appreciate your 5 minutes reading this and hope you have a lovely day and/or know that the bad day will pass!
Love,
Jerry Banfield
