Steemfest Part Two - Conference day, Disco night, Boat trip & City Walk, Poker, Clean Planet, Saltmine and Closing Drinks!

So in my last posts I already told you about the get together at the first night, our first conference day and the bowling night at Steemfest 3. It had been pretty busy since then so I decided to enjoy the time and write about the rest now.

The day after as every day we got an email from Hive account@roelandp about todays schedule. This day we had the second conference event with many presentations, roundtables to know more about different initiatives of the platform like Hive account@dtube Hive account@appics Hive account@beersaturday Hive account@busy and get to get to talk to their crew, know about future plans and also have the chance to talk about concerns or ideas of developments.

After that we all got together at the second meeting room to take a group picture of all attendees. Roland told us to take different poses like waving, jumping, dancing etc. haha Even a drone was flying over our heads to film the moment. I haven't found the pictures or videos yet .. did somebody of you? Would love to see it.

In the evening I went home to write the last post while everybody else had dinner and then I went back to go dancing with the others at some disco/bar around the corner.

A few of the steemians first played some songs like the Hive account@steembirds and then a DJ took over. Fun part of that night was also that there was a photo box outside where we could take funny group pics, dressing up.

The next morning we could rest a bit and met up at the river to take a little boat trip around 13:00 o clock with our captain Hive account@roelandp

We had a great time talking and dancing on the boat while we were passing beautiful sights along the river like the castle.

After that we went walking through the city center for a bit and enjoyed the beautiful architecture. I was really impressed by the beauty of the city and the kind people in it.

We met up with Hive account@gtg and Hive account@mammasitta who gave us great recommendations about what to visit in the city and where to have some lunch.

I felt very lucky that day so I decided to join the Poker game at night, also to represent all the female steemians at the table as only woman.

The Poker Players:

At table 1, with very experienced people: Hive account@leotrap, Hive account@nanzo-scoop, Hive account@gargon, Hive account@aggroed, Hive account@pgarcgo, Hive account@bubke and Hive account@zlatan-spielberg

Then at table 2, also we some experience people: Hive account@cryptogee, Hive account@anomadsoul, Hive account@el-cr, Hive account@blocktrades, Hive account@martibis, Hive account@gexi, Hive account@theaustrianguy, and myself.

Hive account@gtg was sitting next to me as moral support, helping me out with statistics haha no, really just to mess with the others head and give me some magic luck for my cards ;)

Soon I managed to kick out Hive account@anomadsoul, which gave me a huge advantage over the other players being the new chip leader. After that I kicked out also Hive account@cryptogee with a lucky hand and it was time to switch to the other table because many people had been out there and it had to be equal on both. The one with the highest card had to go, so I left.

At the second table very soon I managed to finish Hive account@cervantes and later on Hive account@nanzo-scoop who went all in before the flop. I called with a 3 and 4 of diamants and got lucky with a flush.

Then it was time to open the final table. Just 8 players had survived and I was by far chip leader which made me super nervous.

Until then we had been joking around a lot but now we could feel how the vibe was changing and things got more serious. I wanted to play safe from now on to survive until the last 3 so I let the other ones kick each other out. The next one leaving was Hive account@leotrap , then Hive account@blocktrades and Hive account@martibis so that just Hive account@aggroed Hive account@theaustrianguy Hive account@bubke Hive account@el-cr and myself were left.

“This is it young lady” said Hive account@el-cr when he got me the first time. It was one of those rounds were you have a full house and he gets a better one, where I lost my first part of my chips to him. - Now it got personal between us haha.

The second big hand we both had a straight raised till the end and had a split pot. And then the third time he got me. He raised a lot before the flop and got a J pair. I had Ass pair. He raised, I re-raised, he called. - Now about 3000 were in the pot. With the next card he got another J and went all in. I was thinking it for a moment but I still had the Ass pair plus J pair on the river and one card was missing. I thought he maybe had a pair on his hand or we both have 2 pair and split... he hadn't raised as if he had "just the J" before, so I went for it and lost almost everything.

Two rounds later I was out as I had to pay my blinds and didn't have the cards to win. Anyways I had a lot of fun joining the tournament. The rest is history. Hive account@theaustrianguy survived until last 3 and got kicked out trying to recover by going all in a few times and Hive account@bubke and Hive account@el-cr shared their win without playing till the end.

Already during the tournament right after I was kicked out Hive account@gtg showed me his computer were I could see that he had transfered me 50 Steem. He shouldn't have done that, but I have to admit that It was so nice of him that I almost cried because of his kindness. He said "we are a team and next time we are gonna beat them!" haha so now I am member of the fellowship of the ring I guess. - That was so kind of you man! Thank you!! - I will keep using my ring for the luck ;)

Hive account@bubke also came to me after the tournament to give me another 50 Steem with the comment: "You are the winner of the hearts!" He knew I already had gotten back some of my buy in from Hive account@gandalf but anyhow he insisted to share part of his win with me. - There you have it again!! Those people are just great! And I don't feel so sad anymore about me loosing cause I had a really great time and made some really awesome friends that night!

So after that of course we still went on to the bar where Hive account@beersaturday was taking place and celebrated the winners!

The next morning we had to wake up early to join the Hive account@cleanplanet activity at the river.

Everybody got a plastic bag to put their name on and some gloves and then we went walking along the river picking up trash for 1 hour.

It is amazing how much trash you can collect with about 20 people by just walking around for one hour. Great work everybody!! Great initiative! Keep it up. :)

To fight our hangover we went eating some Dumplings at one of the restaurants in the city center, where we crashed Hive account@kevinwong s secret meeting by accident haha

In the evening we went to the final big event planned by our master chief Hive account@roelandp. At 16:30 we met all the others at the Qubus hotel to get into one of the big busses which brought us to a giant salt mine close to Krakow.

First of all we had to climb down a few hundreds of stairs walking in circles that seemed to never end.

But once we arrived down there we got a tour through the salt mine learning about the history, the work and also the art that you can see there. - The perfect moment to scan more people and getting better at Hive account@steemboard contest ;)

At the end of the tour the most amazing restaurant was waiting for us to arrive at a 120 m deep room with WIFI and 4G haha. Roland was already waiting for us to arrive.

Once again he went to the stage and thanked everybody for making this happen. Hive account@arcange made sure that he got his applause too and he got a standing ovation from all of us celebrating him and his incredible work. - Then we got served dinner.

To go back we had to get in a super small elevator driving up in the dark.. really spooky to be honest but also fun haha

The buses drove us back to the Qubus hotel and there we had our last goodbye drinks together with the friends we made during the past few days. Hive account@llfarms took some great pics of that night in her blog. Check it out here

Wow, so many things happening during Steemfest 3 I can't believe how much, now that I am seeing it! Big thanks to Hive account@roelandp and his crew for organizing it! It was such a blast to be part of this big event! I feel truly honored and happy to meet so many people.

and especially Hive account@arcange because without him and the Hive account@steemitboard contest I couldn't have met so many people and I couldn't be able now to look them up at my scan to write them in this post and thank them! - I really hope I made it in the top 10 ;)

It is incredible how positive all steemians are that I met so far in this two years and how everybody is so full of energy, of new ideas to make the community grow and how everybody helps each other instead of being competitive!!

I am already looking forward to the next steemfest and also to our little meet up in Thailand on new years guys!
