To finish the year 2021 in beauty, I present you a classic car, pure jewel of Ferrari with a coachwork by the Italian coachbuilder Pininfarina, the 1967 Ferrari 330 GTS. This beauty will be part of the RM Sotheby's Arizona sale next January (the 22th to be exact) in Phoenix.
I must admit it's not the ideal car for this time of year in Montreal š. With the snow and the cold, I don't see myself driving on the roads of Quebec this winter. But for the summer, just perfect...
No prices defined yet for the different lots but if you want to see some of the cars sold during the Arizona sale, here's a follow-up :

History of Ferrari 330 GT
The Ferrari 330 was produced from 1963 to 1968 in different series :
- first in 1963 the Ferrari 330 GT America based on the design of the 250 but with a V12 engine,
- then a racing version with the Ferrari 330 LMB,
- and in 1964, the 330 GT 2+2 was prsented at the Brussels auto show. Next year, the series II was unveiled with a five speed gearbox,

1964 Ferrari 330 GT Series 1 sold for $US 213,370 in 2018 through Bonhams
- from 1965 to 1967, the Ferrari 330 GTC with coachwork by Pininfarina and another by Zagato. In 1966, the Spyder version (aka GTS as the model presented) was presented at Paris, also with a body penned by by Pininfarina.
- and finally in the mid 60's, an ultimate version with the racing car Ferrari 330 P.
Unveiled during the Paris Motor Show in 1966, the grand touring spider 330 GTS was produced in only 99 examples until 1968. As I said, the coachwork was penned by Pininfarina with very sporting lines thanks to the fender vents.
This model (chassis n° 09805) was produced in 1967 for the US market (instruments in miles) finished in Blu Sera over an Arancia (orange) leather. I wish the colors were still original, the color scheme seems interesting. After several owners, in 1976, the car remained more than 46 years in the hands of Dr Maxon.
Specification
The Ferrari 330 GTS is equipped with a short-block Colombo V-12 now displaced four liters, developing 300 hp thanks to triple Weber carbureted induction.
Dr Maxon has maintained the car very well, keeping it in its original condition except for the color scheme. This example is now finished in Rosso with an beige leather interior, more traditional, a real shame. I hope the next owner will restore the original colors. Very curious to see the result š
So what do you think of this model? Surely not a discovery, but for the pleasure of the eyes, this 330 GTS is a beautiful rarity.
