Cardano mainly copied dPoS from EOS, Steem and Bitshares. Check Hive account@dan's post on the subject. The few minor changes they made actually make the coin worse. That's all according to Hive account@dan, not my opinion.

And I believe Hive account@dan because he is a very big figure in cryptocurrencies, who created Steem, and EOS.
