There’s a place in Italy where every street echoes history and every bite tells a story: Sicily.
Our trip to this stunning island was a true adventure through culture, emotion, and unforgettable flavors.
First stop: Catania.
A vibrant city framed by Mount Etna, where the streets pulse with energy and tradition. Walking through the old markets, hearing the bold voices of the vendors, and tasting a fresh granita with brioche in the morning—it's more than breakfast, it's a ritual.
Then Messina.
A coastal gem overlooking the Strait, where the sea and the city blend into one. We admired the majestic cathedral and its astronomical clock, then enjoyed a proper Messinese focaccia with endive, anchovies, and tuma cheese. Pure poetry.
Next: Siracusa and the island of Ortigia.
Magic. That’s the only word for it. Ortigia swept us away with its charming alleys, Baroque architecture, and the stunning cathedral standing like a queen in her piazza. The sunset over the Levante seafront felt like a warm embrace.
And the food?
Impossible to pick just one favorite. From pasta alla Norma to arancine (yes, arancine), from fresh cannoli to panelle, and a mouthwatering caponata—every dish was a discovery, every meal an experience.
Sicily welcomed us with open arms, warm people, and a culture that wraps around you like the Mediterranean sun.
A journey that fills your soul. And one we know… we’ll take again.
Because at the end of the day...
