If we are making scrapbooking albums to preserve our memories, we cannot make the mistake of using unsuitable materials.

- Keep the glued parts under even pressure until they are completely dry.

This gives a horrible appearance to the finish of a book and should be avoided at all costs (this is prevented by using a microfibre cloth, which will pick up any excess glue, avoiding the glue mark). Note that even if the glue is transparent, the gloss gives it away.
¿Cuándo hago uso de otros tipos de adhesivos? Pues realmente en momentos muy concretos. When do I use other types of adhesives? Well, only at very specific times. For example, I use double-sided tape when I need to finish a job quickly (for example to make a gift card that I improvise just before a birthday) or I can't risk a project curving (as in the case of pennants, which will almost inevitably deform if we glue them together, as they hang from their two upper ends and, at least in the area where I live, with so much humidity, they end up curving).
También si tengo que pegar objetos decorativos que no son de papel (plásticos, sobre todo, o de formas redondeadas), entonces empleo adhesivos de secado rápido, que me permiten asegurar su sujeción con firmeza unos segundos, sin tener que tenerlos bajo presión (con esas formas irregulares acaban moviéndose de su sitio, estropeando el trabajo).
