Hi Everyone,
This year I have done something out of the ordinary in my household. I have made my first gingerbread house. Coming from an Asian family, my parents don’t go into the full tradition with Christmas and we have never made a gingerbread house. This year we took the opportunity and made two at the kids daycare with all the other parents. It was a super fun experience and being able to make one successfully for the first time is already an achievement.
Here is our kit. I teamed up with Baby E where my other half worked on another one with Baby M. There were so many lollies to choose from and it was hard to get the kids away from that bowl. I find the hardest part was to put enough icing on and make sure all the walls fit and stand strong. It took nearly an hour to finish and by that time, the icing hardens and it was safe to take home.
We ended up giving one house each to each set of grandparents so everyone can enjoy a gingerbread house each. Tomorrow is Christmas Day, you all ready?!!??!
大家好，今年我做了我人生第一間薑餅屋. 小時候，父母沒有跟我們做這個東西所以今年就跟兩小朋友的同學在學校一起做兩件屋給公公婆婆，爺爺麻麻。因為第一次做的關係，我覺得我最的做的不錯. 最重要就是夠糖漿讓餅乾黏在一起就可以. 那天實在有太多糖讓是朋友黏上去，有時候可以看見有些小朋友偷吃一點糖果，大家都玩得非常開心. 明天是聖誕節，你們準備好沒有？
