Hi Steemit Friends,
I hope everyone has been enjoying the holiday season.
Today I wanted to share how I spend Christmas every year with my big Italian family.
My mum is one of 8 - so you can imagine family events can get quite big.
This year has been the biggest yet with 65 people! And next year is going to be even bigger with 2 more babies due in 2018 (1 being my niece who is due in March - I'm going to be an Aunty for the first time!!!!!)
Every year someone commits to having this crazy amount of family in their home! This year it was hosted by my favourite cousin Jason. And he pulled out all the stops. An amazing gazebo and a jumping castle for the kids! It was definitely one for the books!
The tradition for Christmas is for everyone to cook their own specialty dish and we lay them all on a big table as a buffet style lunch. While we are all dishing up our plates, we all sing "Thats Amore" by Dean Martin at the top of our lungs!
I would love to hear of your traditions your family does every year for the holiday season!
Thank you for reading.
Stay excellent!
