Before I start: This is my first project post here on Steemit.
I'm open to any suggestions on how to improve my posts, your feedback is more than welcome.

This one is for the #coffee drinkers.
A while ago I photographed the last standing traditional coffeehouses of Amsterdam. Not to be mistaken by the coffeeshops... these places just sell coffee ;-)
These traditional coffeehouses used to be inseparable with the lifestyle of the city. In the past few years the coffee culture of Amsterdam has completely changed. With the result that these authentic coffeehouses have to make way for hip boutiques with exotic coffee drinks.
Coffee DNA
Before the last coffeehouses close down I wanted to photograph them and their owners. The photographs were then printed in a traditional darkroom on photographic paper. But instead of using regular photo development, I created a developer myself that contains coffee from the actual coffeehouses to develop the images. The coffee stained the paper and gave the photographs a unique character.
If you are interested I can share more about the process of making these images in my next post.
