My today's contribution to #colorchallenge @kalemandra is on a green color.
Ants are one of the most numerous and famous insects. They are characterized by extremely complex social organization, biology and behavior. There are 12,000 ants in the world. Along with their closest relatives, the axes, these insects are part of the group of membranous, but at the same time so peculiar ones that stand out in a separate superfamily.
The body of the ant is divided into three divisions: a large head, relatively small breasts and a volume abdomen.
Like all public insects, individuals of the same species in the ants are divided into three caste: females laying eggs (queens or uterus), males and infertile females (workers).
Tiny colonies of primitive species of ants are able to hold their nest in a shell of walnut or an empty acorn.
