@Papa-Pepper and his family are here again. Is so great to see all the playing with my little ones.
We are excited to have some more fellowship over some yummy food!
We tried to lay off the bad carbs and sugars. We’re saving those for the clean s’mores that we are having over the campfire later.
I thought about maybe making this whole post about their entire visit and updating it along the way, but honestly, I want to share this with y’all now. So I’ll update y’all on the pecan and progress right quick before posting this one.
The other night we had a pretty bad storm with lots of rain and wind. My aunt called my dad and told him about some people in town that had some tree damage from the storm. The tree was a pecan. Pecan happens to be one of our favorite types of wood to use on our smoker.
That picture is from Sukkot. You can actually see @Papa-Pepper in that picture.
Here are a few pictures on how bad the tree was. Because it was something we could really use, my dad went over there and cut it down free of charge. They were excited because that’s why they posted online, to search for some affordable tree removal. My dad loaded up the back of his truck three time and still hasn’t gotten it all yet. So he may be back tomorrow or the next day.
As far as progress goes. We have been doing way better. Sure we have our cheats on occasion, but for the most part we eat healthier. Here is an example of how we’re trying to eat here lately.
Yes this is what we are having for dinner tonight with @Papa-Pepper and his family, but honestly we are trying to do way more greens. We try to cook at home. We try to eat only organic, free range, grass fed, non gmo, etc.
That’s it for now! See y’all later!
Shalom!
