I received unfortunate news about a week ago from

Hive account@danielwong that his last burger joint, big hug burger will be closing down and this month would be its last month. This is sad because if you guys don't know, Big Hug Burger and Hive account@danielwong has played a HUGE role in building #teammalaysia and to the Steem community. It is the FIRST ever burger joint to accept STEEM for its burger meals and during that time, it was only 1 STEEM for 1 Burger set. The best deal ever...

Sadly, he told me that his burger joint will be closing down because it can't survive the harsh reality of the F&B industry. It is competitive, and many other food places can barely make it over a year but Big Hug Burgers have seen its glory days. Probably its already time to move on to better pastures.

Because of this, I've decided to organize a last support from the Steem community of Teammalaysia to go dine one more time before it shuts its doors. Also, I have been promising Hive account@redpalestino about meeting up and getting durian with him! I haven't seen him in a while so it's a good time to have a Burger lunch and durian feast afterwards. Big Hug Burgers was where #teammalaysia organized its first ever official Steem meetup and this brings a lot of memories about how a lot of us started this journey together on Steem.

Meetup Details

Venue : Big Hug Burgers @ SS15

Date : 29th June 2019 (Saturday)

Time : 12.30pm

Budget : RM20

We would all head for Durian after lunch and for those who still want to join us can do so! Just drop me a ring. I won't know whether we'll chat until dinner time, but if you have nothing else to do, everyone is always free to come join.

I'll be looking forward to meet you all once again and at the place where it all began!
