INGREDIENTS.
1 and 1/4 cup- butter, at room temperature
1/3 cup- brown sugar
1/3 cup- white sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 egg
1 and 1/3- plain flour, sifted
1/4 tsp baking powder, dissolved in 2 tsp hot water
1 cup chopped nuts
175 gm chocolate chips
METHOD-
cream butter in an electric mixer until light. with the mixer running, slowly add brown sugar, sugar, vanilla, salt egg, flour and dissolved baking powder. mix until just blended. stir in chopped nuts and chocolate chips by hand. if dough is too soft, chill it until it stiffens a little. shape the dough into 2" diameter (no bigger) balls. place them no a baking sheet, leaving 2" in-between,since the dough spread on cooking. preheat crusty plate on 600w +grill for 3 minutes. microwave cookies on the same setting for 12 minutes or until they set but are slightly softy. let the cookies cool and harden. store in airtight containers.
