For almost 2 months we are in enhance community quarantine. Because of this, only the specified establishment are open and can still operate businesses. So it means the majority has no work as of this moment. If there's no work, then there's no money. That's why the government provide us food but only limited amount. Luck for those who have still work because they can still buy medicine, vitamins and foods they wanted.
We all know how essential our health to make sure we still have healthy lives. How can we do that if the food that was given to us has no enough vitamins that our body wanted. We have money left but only for food, there's none for any other.
The food that the government given to us didn't belong in the nutritious food. What kind of vitamis we can get from foods in the cans and in the noodles. So that the small amount money we have must use it to buy vegetables. In that kind of food there's an assurance that the medicines and vitamins we need are in the food that we will eat.
Once a week we will go to the market and buy vegetables and spices as well. Well, most of the vegetables are rich in the different vitamins. Some spices as well not giving vitamins but providing a good health. One of these spices is ginger. We know how good the ginger in our body. I don't know if it's true but one of the medical personnel told me that ginger was good to make you safe from the virus.
We are lucky to be in a place near in the biggest market in the city. Where the vegetables, fruits, spices amd any other are cheaper. Maybe it's half of the price from the stores who are selling the same outside.
We bought green leaves vegetables as well. I'm not that expert in naming the benifits of it from human body. But I grew up in a province and according to the people, including my parents. The green leaves vegetables gives us many vitamins. I didn't forget the malunggay or moringga leaves. It is popular in the internet how good it is into our body.
That's why everyday we're cooking vegetables and eating it every meal. There maybe sometimes that we didn't but only one meal in a day that we never eat vegetables. We're always eating soup with vegetables. Sometimes we said to ourselves, "we are like vegetarian animals now, we always eat grasses." We just laughed of it bur actually we're not ashamed of it because it's healthy in our body.
Now, let me show you what kind of lunch we had. We called it "binisaya" from the dialect of bisaya in visayas region in Philippines. It look's delicious right?
There you have it, why buying medicine if there's not enough money to spend. Just buy food which can provide vitamins and medicines as well. Let's forget first if we really love to eat it. The important now is to make sure we have a healthy lifestyle. Let's fight this pandemic and make it surrender. lol
