Hello Steemit, we are happy to announce that we got chosen to be part of Google latest collaboration with the City of Los Angeles known as Angels' Lab!!!

What are the 5 challenges to work on at Google Innovations Lab?

Civic engagement for a stronger LA
Preventing falling into homelessness
Building a better LA from within
Supporting resilient communities in emergency situations
Creating a business-friendly LA

Who are involved?

50 people were invited to the Google Innovation Lab for the City of Los Angeles, dubbed “Angels Lab”. Many of the people involved do work for the city but there are a few like us that continue to be civically engaged with our neighborhoods and are excited to learn from a GOOGLER who continue to push us to think really big like MOONSHOT big or the NORTH STAR big. https://s32.postimg.org/81o8uys11/ANGELSLAB4.png

When did this program launched?

This program recently launched on Tuesday, July 12 at the Google HQ in Venice.

Where is this program taking place at?

It is taking place in different parts of the city from the top of city hall to the headquarters of google by Venice beach.

What is the reason behind this push?

The City of LA will be experiencing a massive exodus of employees. About 58% of its city employees will be eligible to retire next year and the city will need to learn to run lean. Hint...Apply...(at most you are technologically-savvy)

Our team name is Team Empower pLAy . Empower pLAy is the one stop shop for residents, businesses, and visitors to be accessing a wide-variety of government information and services to interacting on key issues from homelessness to emergency preparedness.
