Sahabat Stemians masih ingat dengan Miftahul Jannah? Atlet judo wanita di ajang Asian Para Gemas 2018 yang memilih didiskualifikasi ketimbang harus membuka jilbabnya? Kini gadis muda asal Aceh ini semakin popular. Keputusannya mendapat dukungan banyak pihak.

Di sebuah postingan seorang mubalig ternama bahkan saya melihat ada tawaran umrah untuk Miftahul sendiri dan juga untuk kedua orang tuanya. Sang mubalig menuliskan bahwa jilbab yang ia kenakan saat hendak bertanding, lebih tepat dipakai untuk datang ke baitullah.

Judoka putri asal Aceh ini masih sangat belia. Umurnya baru 21 tahun. Ia datang ke Asian Para Games 2018 untuk mengikuti pertadingan dalam kategori low vision wanita 52 kilogram.

Namun untuk cabang olahraga yang ia geluti, tidak mengizinkan para atlet mengenakan penutup kepala. Semua itu karena alasan keselamatan. Hal ini berbeda dengan karate dan taekwondo, memungkinkan atlet perempuan mengenakan jilbab khusus selama kompetisi.

Tetapi Miftahul lebih memilih untuk tidak bertanding, dari pada harus membuka jilbab yang kemudian akan memperlihatkan rambut dan kepalanya. Tentu itu tidak dibenarkan dalam Islam. Mistahul memberikan pilihan yang tepat.

Miftah bukan tidak paham tentang regulasi dalam olah raga Judo. Sebagai judoka yang terpilih untuk tampil mewakili negaranya, tentu saja ia sudah sangat cukup dibekali dengan aturan tanding dan syarat yang mengikat sesuai dengan standar internasional.

Seperti disampaikan ke Menteri Pemuda dan Olahraga, Imam Nahrawi, bahwa dia hanya ingin membawa perubahan dalam olahraga Judo. Seperti yang pernah dilakukan judoka Arab Saudi, Wojdan Ali Seraj Abdulrahim Shaherkani, yang berhasil mengubah aturan di Olimpiade London 2012 ketika ia mengenakan jilbab yang dimodifikasi saat bertanding.
