楽曲をアップロードしたあと、通知画面を何度もリロードしてしまう。「いいね」の数やコメントの内容で、その日一日の気分が決まってしまう。もし今のあなたがそんな状態にあるのなら、少し立ち止まって深呼吸をしてみてもいいかもしれない。

曲ができた瞬間のあの高揚感って、たまらないでしょ。でもアップしたあと、再生数がまったく伸びないと一気に現実に引き戻されるよね。SNSでリンクを貼っても反応はうすくて、「また誰も見てないのか...」ってむなしくなる。そんな時、「自分の音楽って作っていて意味があるのかな？」と落ち込む気持ちもわかる。けれども、そこで立ち止まる前にちょっとだけ考え方を変えてみて欲しい。

「音楽は結局、自分のために作るしかない」 生成AIが台頭し、プロ顔負けの楽曲が自動生成されるようになった今、この言葉の意味が以前とは全く違う重みを持って響いている。 かつて「自己満足」という言葉には、どこかネガティブな響きがあった。「独りよがり」「誰にも届かない」といった、避けるべき状態として語られることが多かったはずだ。

現代の音楽制作で大きな課題のひとつが、著作権の扱いだ。既存の曲やメディアからのサンプリングはとてもクリエイティブだが、権利処理をしないとリリースやマネタイズが止められたり、最悪の場合は法的トラブルにつながる可能性がある。こうした背景から、インディペンデントな音楽家の間では「最初から自分の音を作る」という発想がますます重要になっている。 なぜサンプリングはリスクになるのか

AI時代のビートメイカーにとっていちばん大事なのは、「どのレイヤーを自分の責任範囲＝芯とみなすか」を決めておくことだと思う。 サウンドデザイン、コード進行、グルーヴ、質感、どこを他人（＝AI）に任せて、どこを自分で握るのかを決めることで、「これは自分の作品だ」と胸を張れるラインが生まれる。

ビートメイキングはやっぱり「個性」だと思う。最近の音楽制作ツールは本当にすごい。パソコンやスマホひとつで作れるし、無料のソフトもいっぱいある。AIまでビートを作ってくれる時代になった。でも、どんなに便利なツールがあっても、かっこいいビートを作れるかどうかは結局「自分次第」なんだよね。
