These Martian had superior mental powers and a grasp on the *“real world”* humans could not even begin to comprehend. After simply thinking the humans gone they disappeared and the Martians were left with one baby. It was human’s first trip to Mars. They raised this baby in their own belief system which allowed him to also have superior ESP. He could eat anything and control objects with his mind. Human’s eventually made another trip to Mars once this boy became an adult. They were surprised to see him alive. This time the Martians allow the humans to leave with the human they raised and gave the knowledge of their powers to. His life on earth is what the story is all about and the people who are impressed by his powers begin following his religion.
