Every day, I see how mothers, grandparents and other relatives, speak badly to their children, or accept bad words, without correcting them, with the excuse that they are just little kids.

In my case, I have always been a correct talker, I never allowed them to keep a bad word, and the dogs were NEVER a "woof woof", or a train a "chu chu".

We must be aware that they are people in formation, therefore, if we want good men and women, exemplary citizens, correct people, **we must start since they are small** to generate those habits and values that we want to ingrain in them.

Enjoying each stage will help us in the process to allow them to continue growing, because it is difficult to get them to stop when they start walking.

Quizás yo por ser una mamá poco convencional, quiero que mis hijos crezcan, pero sin forzarlos.

Cuando hablo de querer su crecimiento, no solo me refiero al aspecto físico, sino también conductual y emocional. Tratar de retenerlos en cualquiera de sus etapas, significará un daño para su evolución como ser humano, que puede inclusive ameritar tratamiento a posterior.

A diario, veo como las madres, abuelos y demás familiares, les hablan mal a los hijos, o les aceptan palabras mal dichas , sin corregirles, con la excusa de que están pequeños.

En mi caso, siempre fui de hablar correcto, nunca les permití que se quedaran con una palabra mal dicha, y los perros JAMAS fueron guau guau, o un tren un "chu chu".

Debemos estar conscientes que ellos son personas en formación, por lo tanto, si queremos buenos hombres y mujeres, ciudadanos ejemplares, personas correctas, **debemos empezar desde que son pequeños** a generar esos hábitos y valores que queremos arraigar en ellos.

Disfrutar cada etapa nos ayudará en el proceso para permitirles seguir en su crecimiento, pues es difícil lograr que paren cuando empiezan a caminar.

Hay que estar atentos a sus conductas, sin buscar resolverles los pequeños conflictos que se le presenten. Abrirles siempre las bolsas de los snacks, por ejemplo, terminará siendo tu responsabilidad y no un desafío para ellos.

Qué podemos hacer? Mostrarles la primera vez como se hace y luego dejarlos probar, aunque terminen rompiendo la bolsa (Yo esa primera experimentación la hacía sobre una mesa o alguna superficie, para evitar perder el contenido tirado en el piso)

Desde pequeños me he esforzado a ponerles pequeños desafíos a mis hijos, con la finalidad de ayudarles a desarrollar su motricidad y destreza mental. No comprarles zapatos con cordones es fatal, porque nunca aprenderán a atarlos, por ejemplo.

Todavía recuerdo el día cuando mi hijo mayor, quien tenía 4 años para entonces, pedía plátanos fritos mientras yo estaba haciendo el almuerzo. Como los quería de inmediato, le dije que los cortara él. Mi mamá horrorizada veía como el niño con cuidado, y bajo mi supervisión cortó las rueditas y dejó todo listo para cocinar.

De ahí en adelante, fui sumando procesos y terminé creando un adolescente que me ayuda a adelantar el almuerzo y sobre todo un adulto que de hambre, no va a morir.

Mi hijo menor es mi ayudante en el orden, aunque no le gusta. Pero lo hago que se encargue de doblar ropa, tender cama y a veces, lavar los platos. Tiene 7 años, pero muchos de su edad no hacen ni la mitad, con la excusa de que "están chiquitos"

El sistema educativo, a veces tampoco ayuda, ya que bajo la premisa de que hay que dejarlos ser niños, no exigen un poco más.

Yo considero que **si hay la curiosidad, no se debe dejar pasar el interés y aprovechar** ese espacio que el mismo niño está abriendo para su formación. Obvio, dentro de los límites, porque tampoco es enseñarle a manejar a los 8 años y dejarles el carro para que practiquen.

Ellos te van guiando en lo que necesitan, y antes de quejarte por su posible falta de interés, llévalos a aprender cada día algo nuevo.

Hay que dejar que el tiempo siga su rumbo, dejarlos caminar y correr con moderación, porque ese es el ciclo de la vida. Orientarlos así parezca que no te están escuchando y evitar a toda costa el *"te lo dije"* cuando algo no sale bien.

Queramos o no, ellos van a crecer y nuestro deber es apoyarlos, pues si en algo ayuda, en nuestra mente y corazones siempre serán ese pequeño bebé que salió de nuestro vientre.
