Hemp is legal in the United States. President Trump signed a bill into law that makes industrial hemp legal in the Untied States. This is a reversal of what the policy was for years with the war on drugs.

Congress just reached an agreement on proposed legislation that could make hemp legal to grow in the United States for the first time in nearly a century. Hemp may be derived from the same plant as marijuana,
