One Step Division Worksheets for 3rd Grade Math

Division is inverse of multiplication. As multiplication skills are based on times-tables, similarly division skills build on times tables. Smart kids keep their times tables fed into their memory and can perform basic multiplication very fast without the use of a calculator.

In this post there are worksheets on one step division and these worksheets are speed worksheets meaning kids need to do these as fast as possible. The key is to reverse engineer the times tables skills. For example; consider we want to find out 12 ÷ 3. We need to think about 3 times what number is 12 to find the answer. If you know that 3 times 4 is 12 then you can write the answer for this problem as 12 ÷ 3 = 4.
