#### *English* 💙 Today I woke up, as I do every day, at about 10 o'clock in the morning. I got up and went to the bathroom to brush my teeth. Then, I sat down to have my breakfast of bread and coffee that I love so much. I serve it in the biggest cup I can find, that white one with a brownish tint, well, the coffee has left its mark. oh my! I could drink it all day long if it was left to my liking. I get ready to turn on my radio because, you know what?, I love music, that's why I sing, dance and move like the waves: back and forth, right and left... At one o'clock in the afternoon I watch the novel on TV. That and the one at nine o'clock are the ones I like the most. And so my day goes by apparently normally.

#### *Español* 💛 Hoy desperté, como todos los días, a eso de las 10 de mañana. Me levanté y fui al baño a cepillar mis dientes. Luego, me senté a desayunar mi pan y mi café que tanto amo. Lo sirvo en la tasa más grande que encuentro, esa blanca con tinte marrón, pues, el café ha dejado su marca. ¡Ooh Dios! Lo podría beber todo el día si a mi gusto lo dejaran. Me dispongo a encender mi radio porque, ¿sabes qué? Me encanta la música, por eso canto, bailo y me muevo como las olas: adelante y atrás, derecha e izquierda... A la una de la tarde veo la novela que pasan por la televisión. Esa y la de las nueve son las que más me gustan. Y así, mi día transcurre aparentemente normal.

Don't get me wrong, I'm fine where I am, I enjoy many things with people who love me and I know I can stay here as long as I can. What I am expressing is just because...

Pero, no sé... Hay instantes en el día que me siento distinta. Algo así como estar triste y a la vez feliz, molesta y a la vez en calma, sola y a la vez acompañada. Empiezo a extrañar a muchas personas que conmigo ya no están. También a lugares que, aunque todavía existen, no puedo ir. Por momentos cierro mis ojos y me parece estar donde quiero estar, oliendo ese particular olor que tiene mi hogar. Comiendo en mi plato favorito, con mi cubierto y mi taza favorita. Mirando por el balcón todo el mundo a mi alrededor, con la vista fija en tanta inmensidad, pero con la mente sedada de satisfacción. No me malinterpretes, estoy bien donde estoy, disfruto de muchas cosas con personas que me quieren y sé que puedo seguir aquí hasta cuando se pueda. Lo que expreso es solo porque...

Then you know what I mean and how I feel. You understand me. I think it helps me to see things with a child's eyes, that is, as a child would see them. To look innocently at the roughness, to be surprised by every simple new object and to enjoy the sweet bite of a rich cake while humming the song I heard. So maybe I think more about where I am, than I think about where I want to be and with whom. I distract my silly mind so she doesn't sabotage me, so she leaves me alone for a while.

¿Sabes cómo se siente estar en tu hogar? ¿Con las cosas que por años han formado parte de ti? ¿Con tu cama, tu almohada? ¿Eso que te identifica y te da sentido de pertenencia? Entonces sabes a lo que me refiero y lo que siento. Me comprendes. Creo que me ayuda ver las cosas con la mirada de una niña, es decir, como las vería una niña. Mirar con inocencia la brusquedad, sorprenderme con cada simple objeto nuevo y disfrutar el bocado dulce de una rica torta mientras tarareo la canción que escuché. Así a lo mejor pienso más en donde estoy, que pensar en donde quiero estar y con quién. Distraigo mi tonta mente para que ella no me sabotee, para que me deje tranquila un buen rato.
