Welcome to @fitnation!

Hi! We're here to curate fitness and nutrition posts and videos on the Steem blockchain.

Why are we here?

@fitnation is dedicated to discovering and rewarding undervalued fitness posts and videos on the Steem blockchain. The fitness industry is a massive worldwide industry; gyms alone are worth $83B globally. This figure does not include all the apps, magazines, supplements, personal trainers and websites that also generate sizeable income in countries all over the world. Not only do we want the fitness industry to feel at home on the Steem blockchain, but we want to be the best home of, the most information-heavy, the most fun, the most in-depth discussions, the most entertaining and the most consistently engaging content right here…
To accomplish this, we need to reward those authors that are producing excellent posts.

Not for profit

Fitnation is a team and is bigger than any one member. Any SP or SBD that @fitnation earns through posts and curation will be converted into Steem Power to be used to upvote quality fitness posts. Should any of the members leave, then new members will be elected to fulfill the newly vacated roles.

What will we curate?

Fitnation will primarily curate the #fitness hashtag, but will obviously branch out into other tags. If you believe your content fits out below guidelines, feel free to use the tag #fitnation to help us find you.

Guidelines for Fitnation Curation:

* Content must be written in English. * Your content can be on any application or UI, as long as it is posted exclusively to the Steem blockchain. Content must be exclusive to Steem. * Content must be original. * Content must add value to other readers of the Steem blockchain. * All images and information sources must be referenced. A hyperlink to the exact image/diagram must be provided either directly under or in a references section at the end of the article. * Content must be related to fitness or nutrition… but within this restriction it’s totally open, posts, videos, etc can be about particular exercises, products, regimes, diets, services, opinions, etc. The sky is the limit, as long as the post can potentially improve the well-being of the reader. * Content can be produced by an author of any reputation. * Only content below a reward value of $5 will be considered. * Content must be well presented, clear of errors and easy to read. * While opinion is important, anything stated as fact must be verifiably factually accurate.

We want to hear from you too! We'd love to be able to use and credit your images in our weekly roundup posts, please use the tag #fitnation-photo in your fitness photography posts.

Looking for supporters

We're all invested in this platform... but to really make Steem the GO TO place for fitness, we need to be able to reward the quality posts of our creators.
