As the title of this blog and picture suggest... yes my sons arm was broken but let me tell you the story as a father who had seen and felt such horrors that my son has endured.

Let me start at the beginning... Around 4:45 yesterday November 13, 2025 I have received a message from my sons teacher saying that my son's arm was dislocated so I rushed to the school to see how it was. My first initial thought was it because of bullying? as my son has been bullied a few years back but when I arrived I knew everything was an accident of some sort.

The story was two girl classmates of my son where running around and one of them said to catch my son which my son ran as well but then suddenly one girl fell suppose to be alone but grabbed my sons arms which made him fall in first smashed into the sharp edge of a concrete wall and then the girl fell behind his back.

When I arrived at school I was horrified by the look of my sons forearm which was clearly distorted and obviously not just a simple dislocation. I knew then and there that my sons forearms where fractured but I was hoping it wasn't severe since he was totally calm during this incident at school.

After minor discussions with the teachers and the principal I asked if I could get my son to the doctor immediately to asses the situation of the fractured forearm. We arrived at the hospital around 7 PM coz I had to wait for my brother coz he's the one who has a car so we can go to the hospital. I waited in line patiently since there were quite a few patients ahead of us. My son was still calm during this time and we were even casually talking.

Around 9 PM we finally has a schedule for an X-Ray to see how severe the fracture was. Even as we were taking the X-Ray my sons was already crying because it was so painful to move the broken forearm coz we had to take 4 pictures to clearly see everything if there was any other damage. As I see my son clearly in pain in the X-Ray room I really felt like I was gonna die first in these situations. My heart rate went up and I had a hard time breathing. Seriously I can't take it when I see my son in pain. I calmed down after a few minutes and we went back to the doctor to see what we can do about this.

The doctor said to me he needs to cement this arm immediately but I asked him first if it's possible to have anesthesia so that my son wont feel any pain but the doctor said it's impossible and he has to endure the pain. I asked the doctor for a couple few minutes so I can talk to my wife and son at the same time. I told my son that he will experience an excruciating pain for minutes and he has to toughen it up. He started crying in front of me regretting what he has done. He told me "I wish I could turn back time" which crushed my heart and I also started to cry. As a father I love my child and if I could take all the pain for myself I would. I don't want him to experience this but we have no choice in the matter and so we talked for a few more minutes and he calmed down a bit.

The doctor came in and I said we are ready. I honestly down know what's gonna happen as this is my first time witnessing something like this in my life. He let my son lay down in some kind of operating table. He then took out two gallons and filled it with water, this will push the arm down to straighten the bones out. He then prepared the wraps that will be used to cement the arm and coated it with some kind of liquid which I guess was the cement but it looked to me more like a glue than a cement.

After the preparations the doctor hanged my sons arms and knotted 3 fingers to the pole which my son already started crying because of the pain, but that was just the beginning of the horrors that both my son and me have to endure. After that the doctor put the two gallons of water as a weight on his arm to pull the forearm bones down to straighten the bones out. This is where the suffering really riles up, for almost 10 whole minutes my son endured that excruciating pain of straightening the bones out. He was screaming in pain and even said he just wanted to die but I was there cheering him on coz that's the only thing I can really do. I hold his other hand so that he will feel secure that I was there for him all the way through it all.

After 10 minutes the doctor now put the cemented wrap into my sons whole forearm and during this time my son was experiencing an even more intense pain as the doctor also moved the fractured bones into place. My won was shivering from the cold air of the airconditioner plus he was scared so he was shaking pretty badly but I held him in place. "We are almost done" that's the only thing I could tell my son. All in all it took around 15 minutes of pure torture and suffering as it all ended around 9:46 PM.

After that I told my son "Good job son, you survived, I am so proud of you!". I took his head and hugged him a little bit so that he can feel my love for him. We went home safely and with no incidents but now the hardest part was sleeping. I let him sleep in a folding bed so that he won't be able to move as much as a wide bed but all night long we weren't really able to sleep much because I need to be alert just incase something happens.

As of this morning this is what my sons arms look right now as he is sitting down. His fingers are swollen and he is complaining about the wrap on his hands to be too tight. Honestly I don't know what to do. I want to lessen the tight on the wrap but I'm afraid I might do something wrong and make the injury worst so I decided to put some ice on those fingers hopefully to help lessen the swollenness. Everything that transpired really took alot out of me and honestly I'm really sleepy even as I am writing this blog but I had to and I want to share it to everyone

A father's nightmare is when his child is sick or got into an accident and you can't do anything about it. My heart is still aching knowing my son still has to suffer for a few weeks or maybe months I have no idea. I just hope my son and my heart will survive this ordeal 😭
