Hello friends of Hive and my Hive Open Mic family, I'm Fernando Benedetti from @fernanblog; for this week whose theme is "lost", I bring you the 3rd part of the trilogy of those songs that at some point I dedicated to who was my 1st love, the theme is the own for this song that has that feeling within itself.

If you remember the first song I released in week 81, it was called "Mi Diosa y Tu Ángel Guardián" (My Goddess And Your Guardian Angel), then in week 92 I released "Por Siempre" (Forever) with its video clip recorded in 2012; today I come to release "Desde que te Fuiste" (Since You Left), which also has a video clip and was recorded the same day of the previous video as an acoustic session.

This song has no more versions, that is, it is the original composition. I have a lot of love and respect for this song, because it comes out of the styles I have played and has a very particular musical structure. When you listen to it you will realize that.

This song is of my authorship both in lyrics and music and the arrangements were made by those who at that time were the bassist and guitarist of my band called "Teoría Cero", who are the guys who accompany me in the video clip.

"Desde que te Fuiste" (Since You Left) tells the process of mourning that I lived with that woman who had stolen my heart, here I tell what I felt months after our breakup, a process that was long and painful and that made me feel for almost 1 year, "lost".

"Por Siempre" (Forever) helped me to carry that process during the first 6 months, in that song there was still love and some hope; in this one, uncertainty took over me and made me feel so empty that it wasn't even because I missed her, but because with the things we lived through I needed to close that chapter by talking to her to ask her forgiveness and to be able to be at peace...

In those months, that did not happen nor in the following years, she did not want to see me (having been her who did more damage), however, the song was prophetic because 7 years after ending the relationship, she looked for me, the most ironic of all is that we were neighbors ... I had already lived other relationships, I never thought we would see each other again, but this happened just when a cousin of hers and great friend of mine had an accident that had him for days in a coma, until he sadly died, I was bad, in fact I did not have the strength to go to his funeral...

This event led us to talk to each other again, we saw each other on several occasions while his cousin's death was happening and after that too; we asked each other for forgiveness and became very good friends. There were many previous signs that said that we were going to meet again, the sad thing was in the situation that happened, in spite of that, I do not believe in coincidences and all that scenario allowed me to heal completely what I had lived for so long...

The death of her cousin was something that undoubtedly marked a before and after; based on my spiritual beliefs I realized that it was time to let her go and so it was, she wanted to get closer to me in different opportunities, but I did not feel anything, there was not something that told me to try again, because really, since everything ended, even though many times I longed to be with her again, that was no longer there, I wanted to find someone else and I let her know...

However we continued our friendship, as the months went by she told me that she was planning to leave Venezuela to look for a better future, I was already planning the same with my family, and so it was, we left our country with different destinations... now we are part of each other's memories and believe me, that was bound to happen...

Thus culminated that story that having spent so many years, made me know all the good and bad that was in me, I say it in the past because now is much more good that is in my being...

The day we recorded the videoclip, it was a sunny day, already when we had recorded "Por Siempre" it was getting late and the sun was setting, it was calmer and I felt more that breeze hitting my face there on the roof of my old house. For this song, and without me knowing it, the director of the video decided to edit it in black and white, something that surprised me the day we saw it, in fact, I loved it, that's why I say that... coincidences do not exist, that song was the forgiveness and farewell of one of the hardest stages of my life...

Hola amigos de Hive y de mi familia Hive Open Mic, soy Fernando Benedetti de @fernanblog; para esta semana cuya temática es “lost” (Perdido), les traigo la 3era parte de la trilogía de aquellas canciones que en algún momento dediqué a quien fuera mi 1er amor, la temática es la propia para esta canción ya que tiene esa sensación dentro de sí misma.

Si bien recuerdan la 1era canción la estrené en la semana 81, se llamaba “Mi Diosa y Tu Ángel Guardián”, luego en la semana 92 estrené “Por Siempre” con su videoclip grabado en el año 2012; hoy vengo a estrenarles “Desde que te Fuiste” que también tiene videoclip y fue grabada el mismo día del video anterior como una sesión acústica.

Esta canción no tiene más versiones, es decir, es la composición original. A esta canción le tengo cariño y mucho respeto, porque sale mucho de los estilos que he tocado y tiene una estructura musical muy particular. Cuando la escuchen se darán cuenta de ello.

Esta canción es de mi autoría tanto en letra como en música y los arreglos fueron hechos por quienes en ese entonces fuesen el bajista y guitarrista de mi banda llamada “Teoría Cero”, que son los chicos que me acompañan en el video clip.

“Desde que te Fuiste” relata el proceso de duelo que viví con aquella mujer que había robado mi corazón, aquí relato lo que sentí meses después de nuestra ruptura, un proceso que fue largo y doloroso y que me hizo sentir durante casi 1 año, “perdido”.

“Por Siempre” me ayudó a llevar ese proceso durante los primeros 6 meses, en esa canción había todavía amor y algo de esperanza; en esta, la incertidumbre se apoderó de mí y me hacía sentir tan vacío que ni siquiera era porque ella me hacía falta, sino porque con las cosas que vivimos necesitaba cerrar ese capítulo hablando con ella para pedirle perdón y poder estar en paz…

En esos meses, eso no ocurrió ni en los años siguientes, ella no quería verme (habiendo sido ella quien hizo más daño), sin embargo, la canción fue profética porque 7 años después de haber terminado la relación, ella me buscó, lo más irónico de todo es que éramos vecinos… ya yo había vivido otras relaciones, nunca pensé que volveríamos a vernos, pero esto ocurrió justo cuando un primo de ella y gran amigo mío tuvo un accidente que lo tuvo por días en coma, hasta que lamentablemente falleció, yo estuve mal, de hecho no tuve la fuerza para ir a su funeral…

Este suceso nos llevó a hablarnos nuevamente, nos vimos en varias oportunidades mientras ocurría lo de su primo y después de ello también; nos pedimos perdón y nos hicimos muy buenos amigos. Habían muchas señales previas ya, que decían que nos íbamos a encontrar nuevamente, lo triste fue en la situación que se dio, a pesar de ello, no creo en las coincidencias y todo ese escenario permitió que sanara por completo lo que había vivido durante tanto tiempo…

La muerte de su primo fue algo que sin duda marcó un antes y un después; en base a mis creencias espirituales me di cuenta que ya era el momento de dejarla ir y así fue, ella quiso acercarse en distintas oportunidades más a mí, pero yo no sentía nada, no había algo que me dijera inténtalo otra vez, porque realmente, desde que todo culminó, con todo y que muchas veces anhelaba estar con ella otra vez, ya eso no estaba, yo quería encontrar a alguien más y se lo hice saber…

Igualmente seguimos nuestra amistad, con el pasar de los meses me contó que tenía pensado irse de Venezuela a buscar un mejor futuro, justamente yo ya planeaba lo mismo con mi familia, y bueno así fue, salimos de nuestro país con destinos distintos… ahora somos parte de los recuerdos del otro y créanme, eso debía pasar…

Así culminó esa historia que habiendo pasado tantos años, me hizo conocer todo lo bueno y lo malo que había en mí, lo digo en pasado porque ahora es mucho más lo bueno que hay en mi ser…

El día que grabamos el videoclip, era un día soleado, ya cuando habíamos grabado “Por Siempre” estaba atardeciendo y el sol se ocultaba, había más calma y sentía más esa brisa que golpeaba mi rostro ahí en el techo de mi antigua casa. Para esta canción, y sin yo saberlo, el director del video decidió editarlo en blanco y negro, algo que me sorprendió el día en que lo vimos, de hecho, me encantó, por eso digo que… las coincidencias no existen, esa canción era el perdón y la despedida de una de las etapas más duras de mi vida…
