I am already familiar with the saying “Let go and let God” but I think this is a misconception already. We are having a hard time to LET GOD because we think that we are LETTING GO of something. Let’s change the concept of “letting go” as “letting God” together.

Hello friends! I know it is hard to "let go" that’s why I made this blog to help you. At the end of this blog, I want you to be at peace and realize that you just need to let God and not to let go.

Let's start with a story

There was once an innocent boy who was walking in the park holding a balloon in his right hand while holding an ice cream in his left. While walking he saw an old woman who stumbled and is having a hard time to stand up. He also saw the things of the old woman scattered on the ground.

His heart is telling him to help but his mind is telling him to hold on to things that he loves the most which is in his hand.

The innocent boy is already confused between doing the right thing and choosing his happiness. Until one man approached him and said, “May I hold the balloons and ice cream for you?” He was shocked and then he added, “I see it in your eyes.Can you help her for me?”

He handed over the balloons and ice cream to the man and rushed to the old woman. The man was so happy seeing him doing the right thing.

After helping the old woman, he immediately went back to where he stood but he saw no man already. The poor innocent boy was crying until he heard again his voice, “Thank you.” When he raised his head to see who was talking, he saw the man holding three balloons, a big cone of ice cream with a big teddy. While he knots the three balloons on his wrist, the little boy asked, “What’s this for?” The man was just smiling with no words until he has done knotting and then he replied, “That’s your reward. Keep it for me.”

Why is it so hard to let go?

You don’t have the BIG REASON WHY

You are having a hard time in letting God when you are still waiting for an answer to your WHYs. Why do you need to choose this new job when in fact you already have a current job; why do you need to let go this someone when in fact you love him the most (except married couple); and why do you need to go abroad when in fact you are happy staying with my family here?

I have made a simple way on how to formulate your BIG REASON WHY in the middle of this article. Be excited!

Your hands are full

It is so hard to let go when you think that you are already holding what you already need and want. Just like the little boy in the story. He needs the ice cream and he wants the balloon, both things are important to him. In your case, you think that you already have the job that you need or even the love of life that you want and it became the reason why you can’t choose.

Since your hands are already full as of the moment, you became afraid that it may all went empty if you will let it all go.

You have so many doubts

If you already think that you already have what you need and what you want, you will really be afraid that those things will all be gone after you decide, you already start doubting. Until you became afraid of failing, afraid of what others will tell you, and afraid of what will happen next.

How can you use the struggles mentioned?

Have a BIG REASON WHY

When an opportunity is knocking, you assess. In assessing that certain opportunity you need to consult your BIG REASON WHY YOU NEED TO ACCEPT IT. If you keep on thinking about your own self, you’ll be having a hard time ---really hard.

Toformulate your BIG REASON WHY, you must ask if will you be doing this for agreater purpose.

Some of great questions that may help you in formulating your greater purpose are the following:

Are you doing this for your family? ;
Is it helpful to the people who surround you? ;
Can you contribute to your community?; and
Can you glorify God with this?

If you are doing it for the people who surround you, for your friends, for your family, and for God: you are doing the right thing; you have your BIG REASON WHY already. Just like the little boy.

Empty Your Hands

Empty your hands by giving it all to Him. Do not let go, just let God.

At first the little boydoubted because he washolding the things important to him until someone approached him and tookover: just like you. After thelittle boy helped the old woman, the rewards were given and it was evenMULTIPLIED. If you keep on holding to what you think is enough, how can youreceive the blessings of the Lord that is like a pouring rain?

My friend, you are not alone. He is looking at you during your doubts. He sees your heart and mind. All the time, He keeps on telling you to trust HIM.

God wants to help you in handling the things you are holding right now for Him to give you more things that you deserve. In fact, all the things that you have right now comes from Him so don’t doubt in letting Him handle it for you. Don’t worry; He knows what is best for you.

Again, when I say “Let go” it is not leaving what you already need and want; for me, letting go is “Letting God” take over to all things for Him to fulfill His promises to prosper you.

Empty your hands right now and be excited for a bountiful life after.

Challenge your Doubts

He will never leave you in your journey. He might be silent sometimes but have faith because He is just there preparing for greater things that you deserve.

Do not be afraid to fail for you to know what success really is. Do not be afraid to listen to what other people will tell you. Use it to improve yourself. Do not prove to them that they are wrong: prove to them that you are blessed. Do not be afraid if your hands will be empty because GOD is always enough and because He is enough, He can give you much.

Alwaysremember that doubts are just a situationand situation is just a situation. OurGOD is still Powerful than your situation. If you are still in doubt, ask Him through prayers and He’ll answer in such wonderful ways.

6 “a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away,”

18 “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.”

19 “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”

I must not forget this:

By the way, if you are choosing between God and the things you have right now: ALWAYS CHOOSE HIM.

Matthew 6:33 (NIV)

“But seek first His kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”

Conclusion

Sometimes when we are thrown with a trial we tend to become just like the little boy. We become innocent. If those times will hit you BIG time, always remember that you have a BIG Wonderful, Merciful, Powerful Mighty GOD. He will be with you to give you the wisdom, the strength, and the life that you need.
