***20 de abril de 2026, Freewriters Community Daily Writing Prompt Día 3079: el gran choque*** Hay momentos en la vida donde uno va tranquilo, en lo suyo, con su forma de pensar y de hacer las cosas, hasta que de repente se encuentra con otra realidad totalmente distinta. Y ahí es donde empieza el choque. No es algo que uno busque, simplemente pasa, te toca y ya. Puede ser en el trabajo, en la familia, con amistades o incluso en otro país. Diferentes formas de ver la vida, de hablar, de reaccionar, de resolver. Y ahí es donde uno se da cuenta de que no todo el mundo piensa igual, y que muchas veces toca adaptarse o aprender a manejar esas diferencias. No es algo que uno planea, simplemente pasa. Me tocó vivirlo al salir de Venezuela, dejar atrás todo lo que conocía y llegar a Argentina, un país distinto, con otras costumbres, otra forma de ver la vida. Y ahí empieza ese choque del que nadie te habla, no solo de lugares, sino de formas de pensar, de actuar, de entender las cosas. Al principio no es fácil, porque uno viene con lo suyo bien marcado. La forma de hablar, de saludar, de compartir, hasta la manera de ver el día a día. En Venezuela somos muy abiertos, muy de conversación, de cercanía, mientras que en Argentina uno aprende otras dinámicas, otros códigos. Cosas simples como un saludo, una comida o una costumbre diaria pueden ser totalmente distintas. Pero poco a poco uno entiende que no se trata de comparar, sino de aprender, de observar y de adaptarse sin perder lo que uno es. Y en ese proceso también pasan cosas bonitas. Empiezas a darte cuenta de que, más allá de las diferencias, hay mucho que une. El compartir, la familia, la amistad, las ganas de salir adelante. Aquí en Argentina aprendí lo que significa sentarse a tomar mate, que más que una bebida es una forma de conectar, de hablar y de abrir espacios con otros. También el asado, que no es solo comida, es reunión, es familia, es ese momento donde todos se juntan alrededor de algo tan simple como una parrilla. Y así como ellos me mostraron su cultura, también llegó ese momento donde la arepa, tan nuestra, tan venezolana, empezó a despertar curiosidad. Preguntas, risas, primeras probadas, y ahí es donde uno se da cuenta de que no se trata de cuál es mejor, sino de cómo dos mundos se van mezclando poco a poco. Al final, cuando dos mundos se enfrentan, no siempre es un choque negativo. Muchas veces es una oportunidad. Una oportunidad de crecer, de ver la vida desde otro ángulo, de entender que no hay una sola manera de hacer las cosas. Porque al final, no importa el país, la cultura, la raza o la religión, todos estamos buscando lo mismo, vivir mejor, estar en paz y rodearnos de personas que sumen. Porque en cada diferencia hay una oportunidad de crecer, de ver más allá de lo que uno conoce y de valorar tanto lo propio como lo que otros tienen para ofrecer. Hoy puedo decir que ese encuentro entre dos mundos no me hizo perder lo que soy, al contrario, me ayudó a fortalecerlo y a sumar nuevas formas de ver la vida. That’s when the clash begins. It’s not something you look for, it just happens, it hits you, and that’s it. It can happen at work, within the family, with friends, or even in another country. Different ways of seeing life, of speaking, of reacting, of solving things. And that’s when you realize that not everyone thinks the same, and that many times you have to adapt or learn how to handle those differences. It’s not something you plan, it just happens. I experienced it when I left Venezuela, leaving behind everything I knew and arriving in Argentina, a different country with different customs and another way of seeing life. That’s when that clash begins, not just of places, but of ways of thinking, acting, and understanding things. At the beginning it’s not easy, because you come with your own way of doing things deeply rooted. The way you speak, greet, share, even how you approach everyday life. In Venezuela we are very open, very conversational and close, while in Argentina you learn other dynamics, other codes. Simple things like a greeting, a meal, or a daily habit can be completely different. But little by little you understand that it’s not about comparing, but about learning, observing, and adapting without losing who you are. And in that process, beautiful things also happen. You begin to realize that beyond the differences, there is a lot that brings us together. Sharing, family, friendship, and the desire to move forward. Here in Argentina I learned what it means to sit down and share mate, which is more than a drink, it’s a way to connect, to talk, and to open spaces with others. There’s also the asado, which is not just food, it’s gathering, it’s family, it’s that moment where everyone comes together around something as simple as a grill. And just as they showed me their culture, there came a moment when the arepa, so Venezuelan, started to spark their curiosity. Questions, laughter, first tastes, and that’s when you realize it’s not about which one is better, but about how two worlds slowly begin to blend. In the end, when two worlds collide, it’s not always something negative. Many times, it’s an opportunity. An opportunity to grow, to see life from another perspective, to understand that there isn’t just one way of doing things. Because in the end, it doesn’t matter the country, the culture, the race, or the religion, we are all looking for the same thing, to live better, to find peace, and to surround ourselves with people who add something positive.
