Durante varias semanas he estado ahogándome de pensamientos negativos que derrotan todas las ganas de mi existencia. Te pongo en contexto querido lector por si no sabes un poco sobre mí, resido en Venezuela, tengo 11 meses como esposa en donde nuestro matrimonio se ha vivido en casa literalmente, nuestras salidas durante ese tiempo son limitadas exclusivamente al médico o hacer mercado aquí mismo dentro de la urbanización donde residimos ya que vivimos algo retirado del centro de la ciudad; tengo también el mismo tiempo como cuidadora de tiempo completo de mi suegra una paciente con demencia senil quien no tiene horario de descanso ni limites para sus travesuras ya que tiene 64 años, esto nos ha limitado a muchas cosas en nuestras vidas; a parte tengo 19 semanas de embarazo y nuestra economía en casa siento que cada vez va de mal en peor ya que vivimos en una zona que a veces las personas creen que pueden vivir de uno, acotando sobre la inflación del país nos está tragando literalmente y perdí hace más de un mes y medio a mi mascota adorada quien era mi acompañante emocional. Creo que jamás había sido tan consciente de que estoy tan mal emocionalmente, había sufrido de bajones emocionales pero siempre buscaba flotar a la superficie de manera muy rápida con actividades que me ayudarán a drenar, como: Cantar, leer, ver una película, comerme algún dulce, conversar con personas del tema o otros temas diferentes, caminar, hacer ejercicios, trabajar y trabajar.

A pesar de que sé que estas cosas ayudan a cualquiera que este pasando por depresión, ansiedad o estrés, llega un momento en que simplemente mi mente y mi cuerpo luchan por querer hacer estas cosas que me ayudarán que anteriormente mencione y que hacía pero por otro lado también siento que existe una lucha dominante por no querer hacer nada de esto y solo quedarte mirando el techo por horas en la cama solo estar allí y existir, sé que este no es la solvencia a los problemas que pueda estar afrontando, pero no sé querido lector si lo has llegado a sentir o experimentar.

A veces cuando sales un poco a flote intentas hacer algo que pudiera ser mínimo pero cotidiano, como salir de la cama, peinarte, que en lo personal para mí es un logro gigante y significativo que intento hasta yo misma aplaudir, porque sí; siento que se ha logrado algo importante que solo ver el techo y respirar; pero a veces quieres ir con más impulso a la superficie para seguir nadando porque necesitas ponerte al día, deseas hacer más y más, como en mi caso sentarme ayudar a mi esposo en la economía del hogar o ayudar a mantenerlo. La semana pasada me paso y en medio de mi agotamiento físico, mental, emocional y espiritual explote, estaba teniendo un mal día pero lo estaba sobrellevando, cometí el gravísimo error en mi trabajo y esto fue la cereza en mi vaso de agua, honestamente ya no podía más, intente solventarlo y logre hacerlo a medias todo mal hecho. Me desconecte porque no podía más, pensé que me dormiría después de haber amanecido la noche anterior por acontecimientos en el hogar pero estaba tan mal por lo que sucedió en mi trabajo que sentí mi estado de ánimo cayo al rincón de los fracasados, creando un colapso y crisis emocional aquella noche hasta casi amanecer, sentía que literal me estaba volviendo loca al ver en medio de la obscuridad letras y números en el botón led de la tv apagada mi esposo se quedaba viéndome y preguntando ¿si estaba bien? y escuchaba su voz muy lejos de mi aunque estaba allí, le dije lo que estaba viendo pero me dijo que seguro estaba cansada que durmiera ya, pero no lo hice así, pensé dentro de mi, he perdido la cordura ya estoy viendo, oyendo y sintiendo cosas en medio de mi crisis, no quería llorar en voz alta para que no se preocupará más y con 17° aquella noche tome la decisión de bañarme con agua helada para calmar todo sentía por dentro, a parte imaginaba a las hormonas de embarazo pateándome y gritándome: "Quiere llorar, quiere llorar." Iba a seguir explotando por la crisis de ansiedad y locura que ocasionaba mi llanto interno.

Al ducharme aquella madrugada con el frio del clima y el agua, note que me ayudo un poco aliviando y controlando la crisis y las ganas extremas de gritar y llorar con intensidad, llore un poco mas en silencio hasta que pude quedarme total y rotundamente dormida.

Que noche tan larga sentí aquella oportunidad, pensé que jamás se acabaría aquel mal día.

A la mañana siguiente intente seguir como si nada pasará pero me sentía vacía y agotada dure así por un par de días durante esa semana, hasta mi esposo comenzó a buscar la manera de ayudarme haciendo cosas con él para dejar de pensar en aquellos negativos pensamientos que me atrapan y envuelven, esto me ayudo mucho, pero sé que no será para siempre, pienso que buscar ayuda psicología seria una solución bastante estable, porque así como vamos al médico cuando nuestro cuerpo nos dice que nos duele algo ocasionado por alguna enfermedad, nuestra mente y emociones también nos alertan que necesitamos de un especialista medico en esa área de la salud.

Estoy agradecida porque a pesar de que uno está al borde del límite siempre hay alguien atento a que no termines de caer en ese abismo sin fin, sea un familiar, amigo o tu mism@ por dentro luchando con todas tus fuerzas dándote ánimos y gritando en lo más profundo: No te rindas. Es bueno reconocer cuando nuestros cuerpo y mente necesitan ayuda porque es el primer paso para que estemos bien.

For several weeks I have been drowning in negative thoughts that defeat all the desires of my existence. I put you in context dear reader if you do not know a little about me, I reside in Venezuela, I have 11 months as a wife where our marriage has literally lived at home, our departures during that time are limited exclusively to the doctor or market right here within the urbanization where we reside since we live something removed from the center of the city; I also have the same time as my mother-in-law’s full-time caregiver a patient with senile dementia who has no rest schedule or limits for her antics since she is 64 years old, this has limited us to many things in our lives; I am 19 weeks pregnant and our economy at home I feel that every time goes from bad to worse since we live in an area that sometimes people believe they can live on one, Bouncing on the inflation of the country is literally swallowing us and I lost over a month and a half ago my beloved pet who was my emotional companion. I think I had never been so aware that I am so emotionally sick, I had suffered from emotional downturns but I always wanted to float to the surface very quickly with activities that will help me drain, like: Sing, read, watch a movie, eating sweets, talking to people about the topic or other different topics, walking, exercising, working and working.

Even though I know these things help anyone who’s going through depression, anxiety or stress, there comes a time when simply my mind and my body struggle to want to do these things that will help me mention earlier and that I was doing but on the other hand I also feel that there is a dominant struggle to not want to do any of this and just stay looking at the ceiling for hours in bed just being there and existing, I know this is not solvency to the problems I may be facing, but I do not know dear reader if you have come to feel it or experience it.

Sometimes when you come out a little afloat you try to do something that could be minimal but everyday, like get out of bed, comb your hair, which is a huge and significant achievement for me that I try to applaud myself, because yes; I feel that something important has been achieved that only see the ceiling and breathe; but sometimes you want to go with more impulse to the surface to continue swimming because you need to catch up, you want to do more and more, as in my case sit down to help my husband in the household economy or help keep it. Last week I passed and in the midst of my physical, mental, emotional and spiritual exhaustion exploded, I was having a bad day but I was coping, I made the most serious mistake in my work and this was the cherry in my glass of water, honestly I could not anymore, Try to solve it and get it half-done. I disconnected because I could not more, I thought that I would fall asleep after having dawned the night before by events at home but I was so bad for what happened in my work that I felt my mood fell to the corner of the losers, creating a collapse and emotional crisis that night until almost dawn, I felt that literally I was going crazy to see in the middle of the darkness letters and numbers on the LED button of the TV off my husband was watching me and asking if I was okay? and I heard her voice far away from me even though she was there, I told her what I was seeing but she told me I was probably tired that I slept already, but I didn’t, I thought inside myself, I’ve lost my mind I’m already seeing, hearing and feeling things in the middle of my crisis, I didn’t want to cry out loud so she wouldn’t worry any more and with 17° that night I made the decision to bathe in ice water to calm everything I felt inside, besides the pregnancy hormones kicking me and yelling at me: "She wants to cry, she wants to cry." I was going to continue to explode because of the crisis of anxiety and madness that caused my internal crying.

When I showered that morning with the cold weather and water, I noticed that I helped myself a little by alleviating and controlling the crisis and the extreme desire to scream and cry intensely, I cried a little more in silence until I could stay totally and flatly asleep.

What a long night I felt that opportunity, I thought that bad day would never end.

The next morning I tried to go on as if nothing would happen but I felt empty and exhausted so last for a couple of days during that week, until my husband began to find a way to help me by doing things with him to stop thinking about those negative thoughts that catch me and involve me, this helped me a lot, but I know it won’t be forever, I think that seeking psychological help would be a fairly stable solution, because just as we go to the doctor when our body tells us that something caused by some disease hurts us, our mind and emotions also alert us that we need a medical specialist in that area of health.

I am grateful because even though one is at the edge of the limit there is always someone attentive that you do not end up falling into that endless abyss, be a family member, friend or your own inside fighting with all your strength giving you encouragement and shouting in the deepest: Do not give up. It is good to recognize when our body and mind need help because it is the first step for us to be well.
