He also asked me for a break for a while and I gave it to him, I also needed it, besides I don't think that pursuing university studies would be too much of a burden for him, others with autism have done it, they are professionals, but not all autistic people are the same. In any case, my son's great dream since he was a child is to be a mechanic, starting this year, I said enough with the vacations, let's find a way for him to learn mechanics. A friend to whom I had already mentioned this, told me to meet a very good mechanic who owns a garage, so that I could take my son, I talked to him, I went with my son to introduce him and to know where he is.

Once this we agreed that it would start on January 15, the day before, very excited he and I, as if he were going to class the first day, I look for a bag, I keep his mechanics clothes. The other thing was that because the workshop was far away we had to take transportation, that week I would accompany him to show him the bus, the route where to stay, ask for the stop, so that he would be on his own, because it is time, it could have been earlier, but it is never too late. The day came, I woke up early to prepare breakfast and lunch that I was going to take, since he would stay until the afternoon in the workshop. The owner the first day said he would take him home, so he brought him home, but if I noticed something that was not normal I didn't ask him, I let him tell me and that's how it was.

He wanted to go alone, he didn't want to wait for the owner to take him, I left him some money, he asked me for his ID and he took his cell phone to let me know when he was leaving, so I could go wait for him on Colon Street. This was a big test and I was even more nervous, but he called me that he was already going to the bus stop, I waited a while and I went to colon street, I waited for him and we went home.

I don't blame the owner of the shop entirely, but not all people know how to deal with people like my son. He was told about his condition, but there was no connection between them. And the thing is that not all people know how to teach people with any condition, maybe they have the good intention of wanting to do it, but they do not know, they should at least look for a strategy, because otherwise they confuse and can generate in the person that their desires are frustrated, as my son told me and I told him that if he serves and will serve as a good mechanic.

Hola mis bellas madres azules, también padres y amigos que tengamos un ser especial entre nosotros, aquí ya muchos saben y conocen de mi hijo @vicent21 un chico azul, ya esta grande pero siempre los veremos como nuestros pequeños.

Muchos me preguntan que va hacer el, sobre que va estudiar, que quiere ser, ya el se graduó el año pasado de bachiller fue un gran logro, una gran felicidad para todos, con sus limitaciones y fortalezas lo logramos porque fue un trabajo en equipo. También el me pidió un descanso un tiempo y se lo di, yo también lo necesitaba, además de que proseguir estudios universitarios no creo seria muy forzado para el, otros con autismo lo han hecho, son profesionales, pero no todos los autistas son iguales. A todas estas mi hijo su gran sueño desde pequeño es ser mecánico, empezando este año, dije ya esta bien de vacaciones vamos a buscar la manera de como el aprenda la mecánica. Una amiga a quien ya le había comentado esto, me dijo conocer un señor muy buen mecánico dueño de un taller, para que llevara a mi hijo, hablo con el señor, fui con mi hijo a presentarlo y conocer donde es.

Una vez esto quedamos en que empezaría el 15 de enero, el día antes muy emocionados el y yo, como si fuera a clases el primer día, busco un bolso, guardo su ropa de mecánica. La otra cosa que por ser distante el taller debíamos agarrar transporte, esa semana lo acompañaría para enseñarle que bus, el trayecto donde quedarse, pedir la parada, para que así se vaya desenvolviendo ya solo, porque ya es hora, que pudo ser antes, pero nunca es tarde. Llego el día me desperté temprano para preparar desayuno y el almuerzo que iba a llevar, ya que se quedaría hasta la tarde en el taller. El dueño el primer día dijo que lo llevaría a casa, así fue lo trajo a casa, pero si note algo que no era normal no le pregunte, lo deje que el mismo me lo dijera y así fue.

Que ese día, no hizo nada, le dije que si hizo, que no era tal vez como el quería, que era agarrar una llave y ya, le dije estas en una fase de observación, todo tiene su proceso asi como cuando te graduaste de bachiller, que fuiste a una escuela, luego el liceo y te graduaste, asi mismo con el taller. Ellos en su condición son muy sinceros y dicen como son las cosas, los días martes y miércoles no quiso ir, yo seguí hablando con el, que debe poner de su parte, pensar en que es por su porvenir, tanto que el jueves dijo que iría, pero me pidió que me quedara un rato, fuimos el jueves, el bus, pidió la parada, llegamos al taller estaba un tiempo de lluvia lo que hizo que me quedara aun mas, el se cambio por su ropa de trabajo, e dueño no había llegado, pero estaba como el segundo al mando.

En ese rato observe que mi hijo andaba de allá para acá, como viendo quien le decía que fuera con ellos, el solo se metió debajo de un carro, con otro chico, le dije que me tenia que ir, no le pareció mucho pero tampoco podía quedarme ahí. Eso si que el se quería ir solo, no quería esperar que el dueño lo llevara, le deje dinero, me pidió su cédula y el se llevo su celular para avisarme cuando saldría, para que yo lo fuera a esperar a la calle colon. Esto fue una gran prueba y yo mas nerviosa, pero así hizo me llamo que ya iba a la parada, espere un rato y yo me fui a la colon, lo espere y nos vinimos a casa.

Me dijo que no quería ir mas porque el dueño nunca llego, no sabia con quien estar y que no podía usar guantes que si se tenia que quemar se quemaría cosa que no le gusto fue como se lo dijeron, cuando creo que habían otras maneras.

Es donde no lo puedo obligar a estar en un lugar donde no se encuentre a gusto, donde no le indican o le digan a uno de los mecánicos que son varios que lo tenga como auxiliar y le vaya enseñando. Porque después me decía, que el no iba ser buen mecánico, yo le dije que no era así, que buscaremos otras ayudas. No le echo la culpa totalmente al dueño del taller, sino que no todas las personas saben como tratar con personas como mi hijo. A el se le dijo de su condición, pero no hubo esa conexión entre ellos. Y es que todas las personas tampoco saben dar una enseñanza sea cual sea a personas con alguna condición, tal vez tienen la buena intención de querer hacerlo, pero no saben, deberían de por lo menos buscar una estrategia, porque de lo contrario confunden y pueden generar en la persona que sus deseos se frustren, como me decía mi hijo y yo le dije que si servia y servirá como buen mecánico.
