Lyme Borreliosis as a common cause of fronto-temporal dementia

The author itself has made a lot of unpaid research about tick bite associated diseases in the past two decades. As a result of this research work about tick bite related diseases, the molecularpathology of borreliosis and distinct features of clinical appearance of the Lyme disease I still didn´t published my hypothesis about the origin of fronto-temporal dementia as common clinical feature of late stage neuro-borreliosis. Neurologist all over the world didn´t know the reason of Pick disease until today. After this post, I guess, they will have a complete new look on this devasting late stage neuroborreliosis and I hope they will start to make more research about late stage neuroborreliosis in patients with fronto-temporal dementia.

Case report of initial successful treatment of fronto-temporal dementia with intravenous thirdgeneration Cephalosporine antibiotic

The author of this paper has presented in the year 2006 during a scientific meeting at Engelskirchen/Germany at the German Borreliosis Society a complete review about Borreliosis and tick related diseases. As a [Co-author of the guidelines about diagnosis and treatment of Borreliosis](https://www.borreliose-gesellschaft.de/userfiles/downloads/Leitlinien.pdf) I want today present a case of initial successful treatment of fronto-temporal dementia with intravenous cephalosporines. This case report hasn´t been presented to the public 15 years ago, because science in this world isn´t accepting solutions by selfmade experts like me. Truth never finds the way to public in a world of censorship and intellectuals who are ignoring basics and love their own theories. Healing the patients with fronto-temporal dementia should by our first goal. The first step is to accept, that this kind of fronto-temporal dementia is late stage neuro-borreliosis. Do some histopathologicial studies in affected patients post mortem and I am surce you will find the spirochetes and molecularbiological patterns of Neuroborreliosis and spirochetes in the brain and fronto temporal cortex like in the skin of patients with Acrodermatitis atrophicans who as Borreliosis. The case which I present today is about an old man from Bavaria who was diagnosed with Morbus Niemann Pick around the year 2006. The desperated wife of this man contacted me at 2008 or 2009 by telephone and told me in this phone call the complete medical history of his beloved man, who died later by this disease. As today at that time the common cause of the origin of fronto-temporal dementia wasn´t still not known. After she heard my review about Borreliosis and other tick bite associated diseases two years in front of our phone call she started with borreliosis diagnostic at her ill man, who was already at an advanced stage of already diagnosed fronto-temporal dementia and needed nursing care. Her man has a this time lost orientation about time, place and situation. He no longer recognized any relatives. No treatment has been made in this situation. She was aware that his man had a tick bite around 10 years ago during a hike in the alps with skin rush afterwards who wasn´t treated. All the years later the man was healthy and in good condition, until he develops the the Pick disease.

Antibiotic treatment of the fronto-temporal dementia leads to a complete remission of the patient

Two years after initial diagnosis of Pick disease at this man from Bavaria, the patient was first treated with intravenous Cephalosporines - paid by the wife itself, because German insurcance doesn´t paid the expensive therapy. The health condition of the man significantly improoved during this treatment over several months. As the wife stated in the phone call: ***"He comes back to life! Completely!"*** >He regained his memory, was responsive, and could talk and speak again. It was as if he had never had fronto-temporal dementia. After a few months, the savings were gone and the intravenous antibiotic treatment was discontiued resulting in relapse of the man into its previous devasting condition. German officials of the Ärztekammer Nordrhein didn´´t allowed me to treat him beyond my profession as ophthalmologist. So I wasn´t able to continoue the life saving intravenous antibiobitic treatment. The wife told me that she was so happy that her man got the chance to come back again for a few months with the intravenous antibiotic treatment. It was unacceptable to her that health insurance companies in Germany refused patients with Pick's disease the necessary antibiotic treatment within an off-label use. My own scientific view of the various manifestations of neuroborreliosis - in particular its neurodegenerative damage to the central nervous system - analogous to late stage syphilis - supports the thesis that fronto-temporal dementia is nothing more than a special form of neuroborreliosis that has not yet been associated personality decay. From my point of view it is a severe mistake not to treat Pick disease with intravenous third generation cephalosporins about a longer period or the rest of the life to the affected patients. Why science is ignoring this simple and succesful way of treatment of fronto-temporal dementia remains unclear to me.
