There was a time in history when the film and television industry wanted to have some kind of presence in video games, to get into the world of video games to reach more people, to offer a type of entertainment away from film or TV, many movies had games based on them, Ice Age, Shrek, Iron Man, Hulk and many, many more, some of them were horrible, but The Simpsons not only had one game, it had several for different platforms, they were in almost all Sony consoles, they are in mobiles and even in PC, but there is one in special that was really quite good, in my opinion it was the best of them all, I'm not saying that the others are bad, but this was the best of them all.

Hubo un momento en la historia en el que la industria del cine y la televisión querían tener algún tipo de presencia en los videojuegos, meterse en el mundo de los videojuegos para llegar a más gente, ofrecer un tipo de entretenimiento alejado del cine o de la TV, muchísimas películas tenían juegos basados en ellas, Ice Age, Shrek, Iron Man, Hulk y muchísimos más, algunos de ellos eran horribles, pero Los Simpsons no solo tuvo un juego, tuvo varios para distintas plataformas, estuvieron en casi todas las consolas de Sony, están en móviles y hasta en PC, pero hay uno en especial que en realidad fue bastante bueno, en mi opinión fue el mejor de todos ellos, no digo que los demás sean malos, pero este fue el mejor de todos.

Many of us like The Simpsons, especially me, I'm a big fan of the show, and this game was a love letter to fans who also enjoy video games, it combines the elements that we can find in games like GTA with everything that represents The Simpsons, including mechanics and aspects of a platform game, creating one of the best open world I've played.

A muchos nos gustan Los Simpsons, a mí en especial, soy un gran fan del show, y este juego fue una carta de amor para los fans que también disfrutan de los videojuegos, combina los elementos que podemos encontrar en juegos como GTA con todo lo que representa a Los Simpsons, incluyendo mecánicas y aspectos de un juego de plataformas, creando uno de los mejores mundo abierto que he jugado.

El juego está dividido en 7 fases, en cada fase controlamos a personajes distintos excepto a Homero y Bart, quienes controlamos en dos fases, y a parte de ellos jugamos con Marge, Apu y Lisa pero con estos solo jugamos en una sola fase, cada fase tiene misiones y una trama única, cada personaje tiene su propio auto, podemos conseguir autos desbloqueables, autos ocultos y podemos tomar los autos que rondan por la ciudad.

The game is divided into 7 phases, in each phase we control different characters except Homer and Bart, who we control in two phases, and apart from them we play with Marge, Apu and Lisa but with these we only play in a single phase, each phase has missions and a unique plot, each character has its own car, we can get unlockable cars, hidden cars and we can take the cars that roam the city.

Briefly, in Homer's first phase there are spying robotic wasps that apparently have something in common with Buzz Cola, suspicious vans and Homer tries to get a Buzz Cola, in Bart's phase we try to get a game that is out of stock while we evade Professor Skinner for skipping school, in Lisa's phase we try to find Bart who apparently has disappeared, When we find him we realize that something has happened to him because we see him confused and raving, in Marge's phase we investigate what has happened to Bart while we also investigate some strange circles that appeared in the crops, we realize that Buzz Cola has something involved with all this because everything is a plan for the alien mind control, when we find out about this we try to eliminate everything about Buzz Cola in Springfield, in the Apu phase we investigate the source of this Buzz Cola, we arrive at a meteorite which turns out to be the source of the liquid, the wasps and vans are there to record the nonsense of the earthlings in order to be entertainment content for the aliens, then we return to the Homer phase but this time with plans to defeat the aliens, the Buzz cola has reached the dead and turned them into zombies, with a plan to bring cars full of nuclear waste to the aliens' ship via their tractor beam, we return everything to normal.

Resumidamente, en la primera Fase de Homero hay avispas robóticas que espían que al parecer tienen que ver con Buzz Cola, furgonetas sospechosas y Homero trata de conseguir una Buzz Cola, en la de Bart tratamos de conseguir un juego que está agotado mientras evadimos al profesor Skinner por saltarnos la escuela, en la de Lisa intentamos encontrar a Bart quien al parecer ha desaparecido, cuando lo encontramos nos damos cuenta que algo le ha pasado ya que lo vemos confundido y desvariando, en la fase de Marge nos disponemos a investigar lo que le ha pasado a Bart mientras también investigamos unos círculos raros que aparecieron en los cultivos, nos damos cuenta que Buzz Cola tiene que ver en todo esto ya que todo es un plan para el control mental alienígena, al enterarnos de esto intentamos eliminar todo lo referente a la Buzz Cola en Springfield, en la fase de Apu investigamos la fuente de esta Buzz Cola, llegamos a un meteorito que resulta ser la fuente de líquido, las avispas y furgonetas están ahí para grabar las tonterías de los terrícolas con el fin de ser contenido de entretenimiento para los extraterrestres, luego volvemos a la fase de Homero pero esta vez con planes para derrotar a los extraterrestres, la Buzz cola ha llegado a los muertos y los ha convertido en zombies, con un plan para llevar autos llenos de residuos nucleares hasta la nave de los alienígenas a través de su rayo tractor, regresamos todo a la normalidad.

No hay nada en el juego que no venga de Los Simpsons, todo es muy característico, la ciudad, los personajes y demás, la policía puede perseguirnos cuando cometemos actos delictivos, hay un medidor que se incrementa cada vez que pegamos a alguien, atropellamos a alguien, destrocemos el entorno y demás, cuando ese medidor se llene la policía nos perseguirá, tenemos un doble salto, podemos atacar con patadas, patadas aéreas y un ataque aplastante como el de Super Mario 64.

There is nothing in the game that does not come from The Simpsons, everything is very characteristic, the city, the characters and so on, the police can chase us when we commit criminal acts, there is a meter that increases every time we hit someone, run over someone, destroy the environment and so on, when that meter is filled the police will chase us, we have a double jump, we can attack with kicks, aerial kicks and a crushing attack like Super Mario 64.

Hay muchos coleccionables y son objetos que representan a capítulos de la serie, objetos como las tarjetas de Itchy and Scratchy, también recogemos monedas que sirven para conseguir autos o trajes, algunos de estos los necesitaremos para avanzar en la historia, algunas veces tenemos que utilizar nuestras habilidades para llegar a ciertas zonas como si se tratase de un juego de plataformas..

There are many collectibles and they are objects that represent chapters of the series, objects such as Itchy and Scratchy cards, we also collect coins that serve to get cars or costumes, some of these we will need to advance in the story, sometimes we have to use our skills to reach certain areas as if it were a platform game.

El mapa no es muy grande pero cada zona se siente muy diferente a las otras, no tendremos muchas dificultades para familiarizarnos con él, tiene atajos que podemos tomar mientras conduzcamos, el mapa nos premiará muy bien si tenemos un buen sentido de exploración, ya que hay objetos ocultos o bonificaciones que podemos descubrir en todo el mapa.

The map is not very big but each area feels very different from the others, we will not have many difficulties to get familiar with it, it has shortcuts that we can take while driving, the map will reward us very well if we have a good sense of exploration, as there are hidden objects or bonuses that we can discover all over the map.

Un punto negativo acerca de este juego es la dificultad, es muy poco desafiante, no nos tomará mucho esfuerzo completar las misiones, a veces se puede tornar un poco repetitivo ya que no innova mucho mientras vamos completando la historia, creo que esas son las únicas cosas negativas que vi de este juego.

A negative point about this game is the difficulty, it is very unchallenging, it won't take us much effort to complete the missions, sometimes it can get a bit repetitive as it doesn't innovate much as we complete the story, I think those are the only negative things I saw about this game.

Incluso si no eres fan de Los Simpsons puede que llegue a gustarte, tiene muchos aspectos que verás en un GTA, he jugado a muchos juegos basados en Shows y películas, pero esta ha sido una de las mejores experiencias, espero que te haya gustado, como siempre para ir a la fuente de las imágenes solo haz click en ellas, que tengas una buena mañana, tarde o noche!
