Hello friends of [Feel Good](https://ecency.com/created/hive-190931)! We're only 7 days away from May and the days are already dragging on. These last few days, in particular, I've been stuck in my university office again. Classes are about to start, and I've already met with the students and they have their instructions for this challenging semester. But a call for proposals for scientific research projects came up, and I had to lock myself away to put together two budgets: one for reagents and another for lab equipment and supplies. Up until now, we've had very small grants, not enough to support thesis students, but this will be a group project, so the funding will be significantly larger! So I had to take this very seriously. I spent Friday and the entire weekend locked away looking up prices for equipment and materials to start structuring the budget, meeting with my online advisor to make the necessary changes, and I was already pretty tired by the start of the week. In fact, I didn't go to my office so I could finish the rest of the project at home without being interrupted, but I finally completed it as evening fell and we were just waiting for bioethics approval since we're conducting clinical research. I made some coffee, and while I was sipping it, I watched the afternoon fade over the Caracas valley. It was already past 7 pm, but the sunset was still lingering, and if you looked higher, you could already see night. But the most remarkable thing was that you could already see the crescent moon! So I didn't want to miss the opportunity to capture this moment on my phone and share it with you in this Phone Photography [concurso #109](https://ecency.com/hive-190931/@untilwelearn/phone-photography-contest-109) .

The composition inspired me greatly: the various buildings already lit up, with the large clouds behind them, as if accompanying the last glimmers of light before nightfall, with the crescent moon as witness. My dear @pannavi, who has been writing poems, inspired me to write one, and what better dedication than this sunset in the Caracas valley? So I hope you like it:

**Sunset in the Valley of Red Roofs** The sun bids farewell over El Ávila, among shades of orange and indigo, while Caracas, in its quiet valley, dresses in lights to feel the glow. April's dry breeze gently caresses the hills and the streets of the city, and the Guaire River, a silent witness, echoes the pulse of a vibrant city. The evening falls, like a soft cloak, and the night begins to weave its shroud. Shadows dance among the hills, and the sky turns a subtle blue. Then suddenly, timid and fine, the half moon appears with its silvery light, like a sigh from afar, a promise that never fades from sight. Hola amigos de [Feel Good](https://ecency.com/created/hive-190931)! Ya estamos a solo 7 días del mes de mayo y ya los días se hacen extremadamente largos, particularmente estos últimos días he estado nuevamente encerrado en mi cúbiculo de la Universidad, las clases están a pocos días de comenzar, ya me reuní con los estudiantes y ya tienen sus instrucciones para este difícil semestre. Pero surgió una convocatoria para introducir proyectos para investigación científica y tuve que encerrarme a levantar 2 presupuestos, uno para reactivos y otro para equipos y suministros de laboratorio. Hasta ahora hemos tenido financiaciones muy muy pequeñas, insuficientes para mantener tesistas, pero este será un proyecto de grupo y por tanto la financiación será significativamente mayor! Así que tuve que tomarme muy enserio esto. Pasé el viernes y este fin de semana encerrado buscando precios de equipos y materiales para ir estructurando el presupuesto, reuniéndome con mi tutora en línea para corregir los cambios necesarios y ya estaba bastante cansado al comenzar la semana. De hecho, no fui a mi oficina para terminar lo que faltaba del proyecto en casa sin que me interrumpieran, pero finalmente lo terminé cuando ya caía la tarde y solo nos quedaba esperar los avales de bioética porque hacemos investigación clínica. Hice un poco de café y mientras estaba sorbiéndolo veía la tarde caer en el valle de Caracas, ya eran más de las 7 pm pero todavía se veía agonizar el atardecer y si mirabas más arriba ya podías ver la noche, pero lo más excepcional es que ya se podía ver la media luna! Así que no quise perder la oportunidad de capturar este momento en mi celular y compartirlo con ustedes en este [concurso #109](https://ecency.com/hive-190931/@untilwelearn/phone-photography-contest-109) de Phone Photography.

La composición me inspiró mucho, los distintos edificios ya con las luces encendidas, con las grandes nubes detras, como acompañando los últimos destellos de luz antes de la caída de la noche con la media luna de testigo. Mi estimada @pannavi que ha estado escribiendo poemas me ha entusiasmado para escribir uno, y que mejor que dedicárselo a este ocaso en el valle de Caracas. Así que espero que les guste:

**Atardecer en el Valle de los Techos Rojos** El sol se despide sobre El Ávila, entre tonos de naranja e índigo, mientras Caracas, en su valle tranquilo, se viste de luces para sentir. La brisa seca de abril acaricia los cerros y calles de la ciudad, y el río Guaire, testigo silente, refleja los ecos de una ciudad vibrante. Cae la tarde, como un manto suave, y la noche empieza a tejer su manto. Las sombras bailan entre las colinas, y el cielo se vuelve un azul sutil. De pronto, asoma, tímida y fina, la media luna de luz plateada, como un suspiro de la distancia, una promesa que nunca se acaba.
