As I mentioned at the beginning of this post, this anime is nothing more or less than a story of love and comedy with magical girls and evil organizations. There is nothing in this anime that we haven't already seen before in many works of this popular genre. However, what most caught the attention of many, including me too, is the impressive animation work that this anime has, which is made by the famous studio **Bones**, which is already more than enough to want to watch it, which I did until the end of its broadcast, being somewhat satisfied with both its visual work and with the design of its characters and the plot itself. Beyond hooking the viewer with a complex love story with drama, suspense and things like that usually seen in this type of fantasy anime productions with magical girls, this anime only focuses solely on the relationship that the main characters develop, which are practically two poles completely opposite to each other. With slightly off-color jokes, funny expressions, funny moments and impressive animation, this anime perfectly fulfills its main purpose of just entertaining. >! But in this case I'm not going to expand so much (spolier, in the end I did) because, as I said at the beginning, this anime is short, yes, with 12 chapters only, of which each chapter has a short duration of only 12 minutes. While this is more than enough to make anyone reading this want to watch the whole series tonight, I want to point out that you may be in for a typical romance/comedy story as well as an excellent modern day anime. Obviously, I'm not going to compare it with high caliber anime like the ones I mentioned at the beginning that **Bones** studio has produced during these last decades, but I will buy it, as always, with its same genre of which I'm somewhat knowledgeable and a fan as well. Let's get on with the plot, which centers as I said before on a lieutenant and right hand man of an evil organization that seeks to end the peace of the world and bring chaos to it. This lieutenant named **Mira** is confronted for the first time with a **Magical Girl** named **Mimori Byakuya**, which causes him to fall madly in love with her the instant he sees her face to face. This sudden change we see from a lieutenant and leader of an evil organization to then being the typical protagonist in love in a typical romantic comedy is something that is well illustrated by this anime in its first short episode. We see that the next day Mira starts to treat Byakuya better, bringing her gifts and seeking to get closer to her to get to know each other little by little while shielding herself from her evil organization for everything she does with typical excuses that she is "*studying the enemy*" and the like. On the other hand, Byakuya seems to be a very responsible girl having so many jobs at the same time, apart from being a magical girl and protecting the city from evil. But eventually we see that she is actually being manipulated by an entre in the form of a cat who has bestowed said responsibility upon her and now lives with her in her house as a kept man. >! Si bien esto es más que suficiente como para que cualquiera que esté leyendo esto tenga ganas de ver esta serie completa en esta misma noche, quiero destacar que puede que se encuentren ya sea con una historia típica de romance y comedia como también con una excelente obra animada de la actualidad. Obviamente, no lo voy a comparar con animes de alto calibre como los que mencioné al principio que ha producido el estudio **Bones** durante estas últimas décadas, pero sí lo compraré, como siempre, con su mismo género del cual soy un tanto conocedor y fanático también. > > Vamos ya con la trama, la cual se centra como ya dije antes en un teniente y mano derecha de una organización malvada que busca acabar con la paz del mundo y traer el caos a ella. Este teniente llamado **Mira** se enfrenta por primera vez con una **Chica Mágica** llamada **Mimori Byakuya**, lo cual causa que se enamore perdidamente de ella al instante que la ve cara a cara. Este cambio repentino que vemos de un teniente y líder de una organización malvada a ser luego el típico protagonista enamorado de una típica comedia romántica es algo que muy bien lo ilustra este anime en su primer y corto episodio. Vemos que al día siguiente Mira empieza a tratar mejor a Byakuya, trayéndole regalos y buscando acercarse a ella para conocerse poco a poco a su vez que se escuda ante su organización malvada de todo lo que hace con típicas excusas de que está “*estudiando al enemigo*” y cosas por el estilo. Por otro lado, Byakuya parece ser una chica muy responsable al tener tantos trabajos a la vez, aparte de ser una chica mágica y proteger a la ciudad del mal. We see two clearly divided sides in which we can easily identify who are the good guys and who are the bad guys, but the more we get to know the nature and the way of being of each character, it becomes difficult to detect who are the good guys and who are the bad guys. However, this is just a personal opinion, since in the end this anime seems to focus more on entertaining as it abounds in both funny and nonsense scenes as well as jokes or jokes subtitled in tone or black humor directly. The relationship of **Byakuya** and **Mira** is the most remarkable of this anime, being evidently the center of the whole work, this couple / couple shows their feelings with affection, gifts and details to each other so that in the end they do not become something more because they are obviously natural enemies. This comparison that we notice in this anime is interesting, since it plays a lot with the ideology of good versus evil and what each one should do when the reality is that none of them shows to be what they appear to be at first glance. They also show us little lessons of affection and pure love with a couple that has been through a lot. Then there is the issue of fanservice, which is never lacking in any romantic comedy anime, although in this case it seems to be part of the work, using it many times as a reference to the same jokes we see or hear in it. However, it's not something that completely ruins the work itself, as there are times when these scenes revolve around how **Mira** sees **Byakuya** and vice versa. While the anime may appear to be a simple satire on both magical girl anime as well as typical romantic comedy stories, I personally think it's too well done to be that. I'm not complaining too much about how short it is, it's just that in the end, after so many jokes, funny, exciting and romantic moments, the plot seems to end up taking us nowhere. While it is true that we see some hints of progress in terms of the relationship of both protagonists or the way they see each other, the anime ends so open but at the same time with nothing to hook us to expect something more in the future. Clearly, this love story is one of those typical works that only seek to entertain and little more. >! Esta comparativa que notamos en este anime es interesante, ya que juega mucho con la ideología del bien contra el mal y lo que deben de hacer cada quien cuando la realidad es que ninguno demuestra ser lo que aparentan a simple vista. También nos muestran pequeñas lecciones de afecto y amor puro con una pareja que ha pasado por mucho. > > Luego está el tema del fanservice, lo cual nunca falta en cualquier anime de comedia romántica, aunque en este caso parece que es parte de la obra, usándola muchas veces como referencia a los mismos chistes que vemos o escuchamos en ella. Si bien el anime puede aparentar ser una simple sátira tanto a los animes de chicas mágicas como también a las típicas historias de comedia romántica, personalmente pienso que está muy bien hecho como para serlo. No me quejo mucho en cuanto a lo corto que es, solo que al final, después de tantos chistes, momentos divertidos, emocionantes y románticos, la trama pareciera no terminar llevándonos a ningún lado. Si bien es cierto que vemos algunos indicios de avance en cuanto a la relación de ambos protagonistas o de la forma en la que ambos se ven entre sí, el anime termina de forma tan abierta pero a la vez sin nada que nos enganche a esperar algo más en un futuro. With the **Bones** studio behind all this, it is not surprising that we can witness an excellent audiovisual work, with very good effects and a fluidity and detail in their drawing that is to be admired. The same goes for the design of the characters, which although they appear to be simple, mix the fantastic with the modern, while managing to grab the viewer's attention with expressions and reactions so exaggeratedly well done that they manage to convey every emotion they express. The action moments, if it is correct to say that this anime has action, seem more like a demonstration of the excellent animation that this work possesses, with attractive visual effects and a color palette that mixes dark tones with light and vivid tones at the same time. Although the budget is spent more on funny and awkward scenarios, the anime never loses that distinctive quality and detail that this great studio has. Lastly, as for the soundtrack that this anime has, it is worth admiring how well done it is, including the **Opening**, which its song is both catchy and enjoyable to listen to. In the end, this anime is more a work to entertain and amuse, both for its interesting plot full of romantic comedy clichés as well as for its incredible animation and visual effects. > #### *Personally, I give it a rating of 8/10 as far as the romance/comedy/fantasy genre is concerned.* >! Los momentos de acción, si es que es correcto decir que este anime tiene acción, parecen más bien una demostración de la excelente animación que posee esta obra, con efectos visuales atractivos y una paleta de colores que mezclan tonos oscuros con tonos claros y vividos al mismo tiempo. Si bien el presupuesto se va más en escenarios chistosos e incómodos, el anime nunca pierde esa calidad y detalle distintivo que tiene este gran estudio. Por último, en cuanto a la banda sonora que posee este anime, es digno de admirar cuán bien hecho está, incluyendo el **Opening**, el cual su canción es tanto pegajosa como agradable de escuchar.
