Going over the winter solstice hump

The Sun is about to set and it's a little past 4 p.m. here. At least that’s what the phone says. I wouldn’t know as the shortest day of the year is also a miserable one - windy with an overcast sky. Rain

The weather couldn't be much more depressing. It's +3 C and it's drizzling. Today is the shortest day of the year. The sun rose at 9:30 and it set at 15:02. The length of day was thus five hours 32 minutes.
