I recorded this improvisation at the church this afternoon (Saturday, April 11th, 2020) after practicing and right before leaving for the day. In fact, at the end of the video you'll notice that I get up abruptly after the last chord - I was tired and ready to go home, but wanted to record this improvisation first!
The improvisation has an old-fashioned jazz/blues qaulity. For much of the improvisation I employed a simple chord progression (IV-V-I-vi). As is often (perhaps ALWAYS) the case when simplicity is a key ingredient in the creation of art, the end result is pleasant and elegant.
I registered the organ so that it would sound like a theater organ or maybe a Hammond organ.
I hope you enjoy this new improvisation!
