I remember soooooo much about it! Haha. I actually do have some very vague memories of the cobblestone and being pushed over it in my stroller. I would love to go back and visit someday. 2020 wasn't exactly the best year for that though for many reasons.
The Neuschwanstein Castle in Schwangau, Germany was built in 1886. I read the king who built it was shy and wanted to get away from people. This isn't exactly how I'd go about it. It's built on rock and that's evident in the pictures. The rock has to be monitored and reinforced frequently to preserve the castle.
It was shut down this year because of COVID; however, normally 6,000 visitors come through each summer. .
Maybe in a couple years! I've always wanted to return. My father was stationed in Germany at the time. Pictures are courtesy of my mother, "remastered" by me.
Who will pay for my trip? I only need 1,000,000,000,000 something HBD to get there! Just kidding. There's no math to that. Just wanted to share a beautiful structure & a little history.
