The mornings have been unseasonally cool. Usually, our resident rock martins perch at the edge of the porch roof. Not the last few mornings: this little snuggle seems to have replaced that ritual.
The days, though, have been mostly really hot and the evenings balmy and which is wreaking havok on the lawns, no matter how often we water. It's a really slow process, and we have another month before the days cool into autumn proper.
Yesterday, we have some respite and comfort food with the current garden bounty was just what the doctor ordered.
Oh, and I am so loving the little blue pots from a dear friend. Just perfect for that side of grated cheese.
Until next time, be well
